Lying roughly 5,000 light years from Earth, IC443 - known as "The Jellyfish Nebula", is a Supernova Remnant from a Star that exploded roughly 35,000 years ago. This event created a neutron star, which lies at the core of remnant. Physically, it is roughly 70 light years wide. The Nebula lies within the constellation of Gemini, and requires a very long amount of exposure time to pick up the finer details. This photo is roughly 3 hours of exposure time.
