My own little Brighton holiday threw me off my own readalong 🤣 I’m halfway through this baby and plan to try and finish it by the end of the week!

Riley was sick yesteday with a fever so she was pretty much a slug on me not wanting to move. Thankfully she slept all night and woke up with no fever so I can actually do my chores and work that was supposed to be done yesteday today and try and get on track

The bond between my little one and myself is magical ✨ I cannot express or put into words how this little human being is my best friend and my little shadow! 🤍 she follows me everywhere!

We had a wonderful time with mum yesterday and managed to get a photo of 3 generations mum, my sister Sarah and I and the youngest of all Riley 🤣

I’m currently packing away, doing laundry and getting ready for my trip to the UK and somehow this has been the easiest.. a first with a toddler and I’m surprised how easy this was!

👀🙄 will share our experience with her after the plane rides 🤣🤣🤞🏼🙈

Hello 2024 ✨
I've been waiting for you! January is not only the first month in the new year, but also my birthday month and the month where I get to go "home" for a couple of days. My second home in the UK. The one place I can be me and reminisce the time I spent living, working and the best years of my 20s which not only pushed me as person but the opportunities that came my way.

I also get to take my beautiful daughter and show her "where mummy lived" "where mummy went shopping" "where mummy worked"

2023 has been a year of heartbreak, sadness as well as happiness, laughter and major growth.

2024 is the year I give myself time to myself, enjoy what I love and make time for me and whatever I enjoy doing. It is also the year my little one starts school and i'm ready for her to experience life and growth.

Hope you reading this has an amazing start to the new year and wish you the best!

This post is for those Sarah J Maas Fans like myself who have yet to read House of Sky and Breath before the 3rd instalment or who would like to Re-Read before the next book is out at the end of January!

I loved House of Earth and Blood, Bryce simply broke me by the end of the book that I couldn't get myself to read the next one. But here we are and ready to dive into it after reading Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros. I'm ready for even more torture from the one and only. The OG of all OG 💖

✨ Current Eyebrow Products ✨

I’ve been using these products for a couple of months now and safe to say that they have become my go to in my routine. I would say daily but I don’t wear makeup on the daily currently.

What I look for in an eyebrow product is not only longevity but also consistency. When it comes to eyebrow products especially “gel” form I have tried a fair few, most of them are either too liquid-y or they dry up too quickly and turns to dry clay! The colour also tends to be more warm toned than I need it to be and my colour tends to be more on the “mouse-y grey”.

This colour from Kiko is still not my actual colour as it’s on the “blonde” side so I would say slight lighter but I manage to make it work which is much better than the “dark” eyebrows I once sported which was too dark than I needed them to be in all honesty!

I pair the eyebrow gel with their slanted makeup brush which is also an eyeliner brush (it’s a little too thick in my eyes for eyeliner, so it’s my go-to eyebrow brush)

BUY Reusable Lids for your Baby Wipes!!
OMG these little gems where found on a whim. I was just looking around the shop and found these at a great price and grabbed a few.

The brand is called “Dooky” and the adhesive on these are something else. I have only managed to find these from The First Years so not sure if they are available from other places locally (Please let me know if there are other places!) I’ve got 2 and have one on her Nappy changing wipes & another one her food wipes.

You just life up and change onto another new packet of wipes, swipe to the end to see a video on how easy it is! Under €3 which is a steal!

If you don’t own these, I suggest you run over to The First Years Malta and Grab a few! They keep all your baby wipes moist and they will never dry up!

Water Fresh Makeup 💦

Is it me or has the full coverage phase not a daily thing anymore? Since I suffered with dry skin after having Riley and my skincare routine slowly getting back to where it was prior to Riley, I’ve found light to medium coverage foundation to be my go to!

This has been by far my favourite foundation and it’s my perfect “winter shade” FRESCO I’ve also got my “summer/tan” shade which is TAWNY.

I love how they use the same shade names as the double wear as I used to use it back in my UK days!

The coverage is buildable, but also dewy leaving the skin looking fresh.

Wanted to use my space to share my favourite products as I used to do because to this day I still look for reviews before buying anything.. do you do that?

LETS TALK BABY WIPES 🧻 👶🏼

I’ve tried my fair share of baby wipes with Riley and let me be honest there are a fair few. Some I’ve really hated and some I wished I found when Riley was a newborn.

🟡 Water Wipes - these are what they advise to use from day 1! I did in fact use them from day one but honestly they aren’t as “wet” as I liked them to be… I stopped using them after a couple of months as I used cotton squares with water

🟠 Chicco Wipes - 😱 HOLY GRAIL! I wish I tried these from day one! I was gifted a packet of these before Riley was born and took forever to use them.. safe to say I buy them in packs of 3s and have travel packs in my bags at all times for nappy changes! They are WET 💦 which we need when changing our babies and moist! The Lotus Water scent is beautiful too! Great for sensitive skin and I would say I started using these on Riley since she was 3m and still use them to this day! You get 72 wipes in a pack is I think is the most I’ve seen in a pack!

🔵 Kit and Kin Wipes - I actually won these, you’ll find a whole post about these in a few photos back. They are great for the environment, 99% water but not as moist as the Chicco ones as I would have liked but far better than water wipes in my opinion.

Wipes 🧻 for Food and hygiene in general 🍼🥣

Once we started weening Riley we needed wipes for all purposes! Especially out and about on the go and cleaning her face and hands after eating!

🟣 Septona Baby Wipes - Not pictured but oh my god! These were amazing, they were on special for 99c and after buying loads they vanished, from what I could tell they either repackaged them but I’ve have since found something similar!

🔵 Woods Wipes - AVOID! Perfume is too strong! 😫

🔴 Huggies All Over Clean 🧽- OUR HOLY GRAIL! These are amazing! After not being to find anything that lives up to the septona ones I found the best “moist” wipes that get everything off her face and hands!

Have you tried the new Max Factor Cream Blush? Well Cream Blush is making a massive comeback after many makeup artists and content creators have been hyping them up like crazy recently!

The idea behind cream blush is it is not just a blusher but also can be used as a lipstick and eyeshadow too!

The consistency is on the thick side so a little goes a long way!

Going back a couple of years, MF did have cream blush in small round pots but if I recall the shades were limited.

Fast forward to the new miracle pure cream blush is more “liquidy” and easy to dispense with less mess and contamination (great for mua’s)

The shade range has some fantastic dupes for higher end products and there is a colour for everyone!

It’s all about the cream products at the moment and I’ve been loving the more “natural” look with cream products recently!

Toddler age …
Probably one of my favourite stages! 👀❤️

Baby stage was frustrating as a new mum. As it’s all new and let’s face it.. nothing can prepare you for first time around.. but seeing her as a toddler and being more responsive to everything around her is so much fun!

She’s a little minx and is trouble 😈 but I don’t think I’d want her any other way!

- Riley woke up very energetic this morning so we played in the ball pit, trying to teach her how to use the holes. Also went for some baking to make homemade flapjacks using just 3 ingredients 😍.
