Portraits of Taiwan: Taiwan Documentary Festival UK Tour
This festival aims to illuminate the spirit of Taiwan through the documentary and an exhibition: Portraits of Taiwan. Through a variety of activities, including after-theater talks, art exhibition, workshops, seminars, etc., we hope to provide an in-depth discussion to the selected award-winning Taiwan documentary films. Film experts, produ
cers or directors will be invited to the after-theater discussion, addressing the contemporary political, environmental, and social issues in Taiwan as well as the parallel issues in the UK or other countries. This year 2011, the Taiwan Documentary Festival is intended to be a part of wider cultural activity in UK, particularly in celebration of 100th anniversary of Taiwan's ROC revolution in 1911. The film festival is also part of the joint-cultural activity among all Taiwan Student Societies in the United Kingdom.
台灣群像：台灣紀錄片英國大學校園巡迴影展
以台灣群像的網路肖像展具像化台灣精神。本影展期望以英國大學校園巡迴影展的方式，提供台灣優質紀錄片於英國地區發表的平台，同時也經由對於台灣紀錄片內容 的探討，呈現台灣歷史文化社會脈絡，傳達台灣人生命的韌性與深層人文背景展現不同生命的樣貌。期待以年度主題影展的方式策劃，以建國百年為起點，開始一系列的年度校園紀錄片巡迴，並配合紀錄片影展活動，在英國建構對於台灣社會與歷史的討論。
