Have you seen anyone do this new dangerous “trend”? I’ve just finished recording an episode of The Red Eye, the story of when I hit the ceiling during severe turbulence on a Sydney flight. Looks like the old kangaroo route is at it again but now some passengers are taking the advice of a TikTok influencer over professionally trained crew!
TikTok videos recommending plane passengers put their seatbelts around their ankles have become a trend, with some garnering hundreds of thousands of views and likes.

Can you believe this? A shirtless man destroyed a toilet and punched a crew member on a flight from Bangkok to London. Nobody deserves to go to work and be attacked. Thanks to this footage I’m sure he’ll be appropriately punished! There’s so many stories I have been told of passengers attacking crew.
