The first year we started selling books on Amazon back in 2006. This is pretty much what our living room and every room in our house looked like (except the kitchen)

It was also an upstairs apartment so after we had around 10K active units listed through the house, we started to notice the floor was sagging in various areas

We were lugging 50-100 books up and down a flight of stairs everyday and I'm pretty sure our mailman hated us

This was before we knew what we were doing. The only thing we for sure knew was that the books were selling and the more we listed, the more we sold

We made every mistake along the way, but I'll always look back at this period and be thankful that we went all in

It was so funny when we would bring people over, they would be in shock, like "are you trying to start a new library of congress or what?"

Did you know hair of all types is worth money? I saw my homey cut his dreads off, and I was thinking " they gotta be worth some money"

I don't know the details, but it's obviously desirable for wig makers, and people who make extensions

I also don't know which colors are styles are more desirable, but may be look it up next time instead of just throwing it away, or leaving it at the barbershop

When you make a sale, it's not always over. You now have more data and a proven track record. Take some of that profit and leverage your data to do it again.

We all do this organically by being on the lookout for stuff we've sold successfully before, but I think MANY people forget to check online for those same items on other marketplaces

Do an eBay search, do a google shopping search, checkout FBM, Craigslist etc

Build a spreadsheet of stuff to check for online daily, setup alerts and automate it as much as possible

This is one of my favorite tactics. You'd really be surprised how repeatable some sales are

And don't limit yourself to your own area either, you can utilize services like Task Rabbit to acquire items in other areas that are local pickup/meetup only

Been a minute but I'm dipping my toes back into the eBay game. This was a $5 bins pickup and it sold for full asking price. Roughly $50 profit.

And yes, eBay is holding my money because they don't trust me no more 😭 😂

Also fun fact, pulled this thinking I would want it for personal 🥹

But we all know a 2 liter and any old skateboard is way better than one of these, so we flipped it

I'm thinking I'm gonna start going to the bins and making some style videos. For one; it's fun, I just enjoy the hunt; and 2 I know it will create a lot of opportunities to make content that beginners as well as experts can relate to
