‘Suck On This’ - Basket Of Hands’ first album in ten years failed spectacularly - entering the Billboard Hot 200 at #263. While it did shift the band’s tone back to its hard rock roots (and away from smooth jazz), no one seemed to care. According to pi**ed off Manka Music Group execs, there won’t be another comeback.

When the Mojave Desert proved too hot to film the Egyptian period epic ‘Ramesses I,’ Harry Manka ordered the clearing of a large area near Sequoia National Park and had tons of sand trucked up from Malibu so that production could continue.

MB Games’ ‘Clayhead’ video game (based on the Manka Bros 1993 film) is pulled from shelves at Walmart for excessive violence and insensitivity to kids who may have heads made of clay. In the game, 'Clayhead' scores points by pulling off pieces of his head to throw at bullies.

The Soundtrack from the Manka Highbrow film ‘Pinto: El Pollo Tocando Flauta’ (Pinto: The Flute Playing Chicken) hits number one on the album charts. It remained a huge hit until it was discovered that Pinto (the chicken) didn’t actually play the flute which resulted in such global outrage that CDs were burned in bonfires and the film was disgracefully pulled from award consideration.

‘Laughing Stock’ premieres on MBS. The show was an incredibly popular comedy show for kids and adults featuring life-size talking cow puppets who perform songs and skits. It ran until February 9, 1964 - the night The Beatles first appeared on Ed Sullivan. After that night, 'Laughing Stock' was considered 'stupid' by most people in America.
