Quick question,
how many Hamas leaders
have been killed in these past 30 days
of the brutal, relentless and vicious
onslaught of ‘self defense’ TERROR that
the Israeli and the US governments
are inflicting on the people of Gaza?

Because we’re supposed to believe that Hamas is the target right?

The death toll in Gaza has now surpassed 10,000 people. In one month.

And they haven’t gotten Hamas yet???

All these BILLIONS of dollars and expert military intel and sofisticated technology spent in ‘self-defense’ to get rid of Hamas…but the US backed Israeli government has maybe only killed about 12 Hamas leaders??? And now is doing a ground invasion??? On kids and innocent civilians?

We will never forget what was done in Gaza. May we tell the truth about what happened and what we did, or didn’t do, about the genocide of the Palestinian people.

It's been two weeks since we reached out to Governor Jared Polis. And by 'we', we don't mean one or two of us emailing — we mean HUNDREDS of us calling, emailing, and physically going to the office.
 
Yet still **crickets**.
 
If this many lobbyists or white men were calling Governor Polis' office, do you think they would have responded by now?

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their communities, whether at home, school, work, or places of worship – and today, on the first day of , we need to talk about how gun violence affects all communities and white supremacy is killing all of us.

According to , over the past decade, the firearm su***de rate among young people has increased faster than any other age group - with AAPI youth being the most affected (having the fastest-growing rate of any racial or ethnic group) with a 71% increase.

Our Constitution called for us, the people, to make adjustments once the initial rights stopped serving our greater good. Isn't our kids dying daily from the right to bear arms reason enough to say 'f**k this'!? Especially when that 'right' was directly constructed to uphold white supremacy?

Here4theKids is a movement built on established traditions of collaboration, community, and nonviolent direct action. We do not seek to replace other groups' efforts to end gun violence. Instead, we strive to add to the conversation as we believe it will take everyone - and every angle - to move the needle on the gun conversation in our country.

As a movement, we are looking to the Civil Rights Movement as an example of how collaboration can succeed when we work together. We need to BELIEVE in our power. We CAN do this. And we WILL do this. We CAN and WILL demand that Governor Polis sign an Executive Order banning ALL guns and buying them back. We CAN and WILL then demand every other Democratic governor do the same.

You need to believe in your power too. YOU – white folks and others – need to come to Denver on June 5 to join us. This is not a protest. It is not a march. It is a direct action and peaceful sit-in.

It is time to move the needle to protect all communities and all kids. We can. We will.

U.S. gun violence surged in 2022, with overall firearm death rates rising to the highest level in nearly three decades. Yet Presidents and Congress members – both Democrat and Republican – have renounced finding actual SOLUTIONS to America’s gun violence.

So what are we left with? Us!!! We, the people, and parents of children who are traumatized by school shootings, must push Democratic Governors — specifically ones in states with high levels of school shootings — to take action to end gun violence.

Make no mistake, the Second Amendment is white supremacy and anti-Blackness in action. It was created to assure white men that if/when there were uprisings from enslaved peoples, they could end the uprisings without having to wait on federal intervention. I.e., white colonialists were given the sanction to continue to lynch and murder Black people. This is what the Second Amendment is.

White supremacy is killing everyone. It is time for action. It is time for white people, predominantly white women and moms, to use their privilege and power and put their bodies on the line. People of all abilities and racial and gender identities are WHOLLY welcome, yet the reason we are largely focused on mobilizing white women is because, statistically speaking, they are the least likely of any demographic to be brutalized by police.

Repost 💚 I had the honor of visiting the National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery, Alabama with recently.

Here are but a few stories: notice a pattern?

White women have always had the most power and have used it for pure evil.

Namely getting Black men, Black women, Black CHILDREN tortured and murdered at the hands of white men.

This is fact. This is history.

This is now.

The next time a white woman says she doesn’t have the power to _________, remind them of this: they have so much power that they merely have to be “annoyed” to have an entire Black family massacred.

It is no mystery why we are where we are. A country founded on Indigenous genocide, chattel slavery, the genocide of African people, the torture of babies…. What do you expect?

This is America.
Montgomery is America.
Every person in this country needs to go see for themselves.

And no, we’re not going to vote our way out of evil.

We’re gonna have to do something wildly different.

In this training, Myisha will discuss the skills necessary to address how you can show empathy in a range of scenarios, including: when listening to gun enthusiasts and apologists who are against the idea of banning guns; watching the tone policing of Black and Brown activists leading this initiative; and your own feelings of tension around this movement.

In the future, when your kids or grandkids ask you, "Where were you on June 5?" what will your answer be? Gun violence is the number one killer of children in the United States. THE NUMBER ONE KILLER. So, surely no reply could be more important than you proudly telling them you were in Denver, CO, with 25,000+ other people protecting their future?

We, the people and parents of children who are traumatized by school shootings, must push Democratic Governors, specifically ones in states with high levels of school shootings, to take action to end gun violence.

This means Colorado. And this means Governor Jared Polis.

Join us in Denver, CO, on June 5 to demand Governor Polis sign an Executive Order banning ALL guns and buying them back. We will park our bodies on the lawn of the Capitol for as long as it takes the Governor to sign.

June 5 is on track to making history, with white women being led by Black, Brown, and Indigenous women to use their privilege and power to protect this movement and progress our country forward. This is not a march. There will be no stage or sound systems, no performances or concerts, and no pink p***y hats. Just 25k+ folks ready to do something to stop our kids from getting killed at schools.

Gun violence is the number one killer of kids in America. Black kids, Brown kids, white kids. ALL KIDS. Yet what are we hearing about everyday in the media? What are we seeing in our social feeds? Bans on books. Bans on DEI. Bans on drag. Bans on Black legislators. Bans on healthcare!

Enough!

On June 5 at 5am, 25,000+ of us will exercise our First Amendment rights and show up on the lawn of the Capitol in Denver, Colorado, demanding Governor Polis of Colorado signs an Executive Order banning GUNS and buying them back.

This is NOT a march or protest. It is a peaceful sit-in and direct call to action. It is a national movement with a state focus.

The Second Amendment was written for white supremacy and now it is killing everyone. It is time for we the people — especially white moms — to use our power and privilege to be here for the kids.

This morning, two of our co-founders and , were on the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama — the site of the conflict of Bloody Sunday on March 7, 1965, when police attacked Civil Rights Movement demonstrators as they endeavored to march to Montgomery.

There is no progress in this world without boldness. No advancement without innovation. We, the people, must push for action. There is no cavalry. WE are the cavalry.

No one can think this number is acceptable. This number reflects 12,815 human beings. 12,815 family members. 12,815 friends. 12,815 hopes and dreams.

Good intentions did not save these people. Social media outrage did not save these people. Calls to politicians did not save these people.

It is time to try something new.

We did it, y’all! We kept the pressure on CPS and elected officials to return baby Mila Jackson to her family, and the day has finally come. Thanks to the thousands of YOU who sprung into action from our social media posts and coordinated media outreach, the DA decided to reunite Mila with her loving parents. The Jackson family will be whole again this morning.

But this never should have happened in the first place. Systemic racism is the reason why Mila was separated from her family. Period.

We’ll keep fighting against the criminalization of Black parents, children, and midwives because NO ONE should live through this nightmare. The Jackson family won’t get justice until the healthcare providers, CPS workers, DeSoto police officers, Dallas constables, and every other person who allowed Mila to be taken from her family is held accountable.

Mila isn’t the first Black baby to be unjustly ripped away from her family, and she won’t be the last one—unless fundamental changes are made to the child welfare and criminal justice systems. We’ll ALWAYS go hard to protect Black folk, because we keep us safe.
