Feels like a good time to repost my build for Proline By The Fire 2021. Love this little thing and i need to build a few more micro rigs.
When a crazy idea on tik tok turns into a custom 1/24 scale garage display in less than 1 weeks time.

Size is a little bit wider than his standard offering for 1/24 to fit better in the so I can switch it up whenever I want!

Why haven’t I been posting RC content? Well when your daughters 2nd birthday party is coming and she loves cool cars just like her dad, then of course her birthday party needs a podium and drag strip!
Started this during the weekend and spent some time with Mrs Turtle and my sister last night wrapping things up after work.
Waiting for paint to dry before adding the final details but of course the little one already hit some hot laps trying to beat her old man’s ET which we all know isn’t that hard 😂

This thing is way too much fun and I can’t wait to put my own touches to it.
Every day I get a chance to work on something different and it keeps me fresh!
Had to mount up some 0.7 inch wheels and tires and it was definitely not as easy as 1/10 scale tires.

Feels good starting fresh with the work bench. After I bought the new toolboxes I didn’t really take the time to reorganize . There’s still a good amount to do, especially to the rest of the room but I think today was a productive day.
Next is all of the parts and tools, then sort through projects and start getting rid of things to make room for more projects lol

Those night crawls with the boys at proline by the fire just hit different.
My Marlin F250 is my go to when I was do just drive and enjoy the ride.
Two events within 10 days. 6 of those days sleeping at campsites. But damn if it wasn’t a hell of a time with some of the people I love most in the world. We stopped at our traditional breakfast spot and now we’re headed home.

When , and asked me if I would show them how to properly drive an RTR… well I was honored. Placed an order with our warehouse and it’s already at my door!
I guess I kinda have to go to Proline by the Fire now!
I’ll drive out tomorrow after work and I’ll even bring some patches and jet tags for those wanting some Black Turtle Merch!

Time for a new build… and this one is special. This body came from my brother Brandon’s stash. It was a little funny when it came up, everyone pretty much looked at me because it’s a ford body and I knew it had to come home with me. Thank you sis for thinking of me and I’ll be making this my BT Memorial Shop truck!
Why a shop truck? Well some of my fondest memories are doing some shenanigans with my bros but it was always Oscar and I working on Brandon’s car and some times he would even take overall wins! 😂 so I figured it was only right his memorial truck was our chase truck now!
I’ll also be using my personal #5 ASD servo in this rig because it only felt right. I never planned on using this servo but this felt right.
Now, both body and utility bed are discontinued so finding accessories may be a tough one, if you have any leads, please send them my way! I feel like I’ll be doing a lot of hand crafting and 3D printing. We’ll see!

She finally got her wish but now I’m getting the sad puppy dog eyes because he wheels aren’t also pink and the interior isn’t pink either. Looks like this just turned into a long term brother sister project!
