Oklahoma State's Pistol Pete: He has been the Pokes' mascot since 1923. It's hard to miss him on the sidelines, pumping up fans at Boone Pickens.

Kansas' Big Jay: Although the Jayhawks original mascot was a Bulldog, he became the official face of the program in 1958. There's a Baby Jay too.

Kansas State's Willie the Wildcat: Although Northwestern has a mascot with the same name, he's more recognizable with that huge head.

Iowa State's Cy the Cardinal: He was introduced by the school in 1954. Cy was named the CapitalOne Bowl National Mascot of the Year in 2008.

TCU's SuperFrog: He was first introduced in the 1979. Despite only being part of the Big 12 since 2012, SuperFrog is always active in the sidelines.

Michigan State's Sparty: He's always flexing his muscles in front of the camera, and to get the crowd pumped, especially after touchdowns.

The Oregon Duck: Although Oregon won't join the Big Ten until July, he's arguably the most popular mascot in College Football. And those pushups....

Ohio State's Brutus Buckeye: He made his first appearance at the Horseshoe in 1965, and was inducted into the mascot Hall of Fame in 2007.

Nebraska's Herbie Husker: The blonde hair, denim overalls, red cowboy hat and corn in the back pocket always gets Big Red Nation pumped up.

Iowa's Herky the Hawk: He has been part of the school since 1948. Herky is always animated, and hypes up the crowd more than the cheerleaders.

Ryan Day, Ohio State: Buckeyes are the offseason National Champs after spending millions of dollars assembling an All-star team. No more excuses for Day losing to Michigan, so it's the Natty or bust.

Coach Prime, Colorado: He improved the Buffaloes from the dreadful Karl Dorrell era, despite depth and blocking issues. Now it's year two and in a new conference, so Colorado fans expect a surge.

Matt Rhule, Nebraska: He came close to getting the Huskers to bowl eligibility in 2023. Rhule has recruited great, landed studs from the portal, and has a history of making improvements in year two.

Brent Venables, Oklahoma:: In year two he got off to a hot start, and won his first seven games. Now the stakes are higher in year three in the Almighty SEC, and fans expect Venables to make a splash.

Dan Lanning, Oregon: After two double-digit-win campaigns, fan anticipation is high in year three. After all, Lanning brings a loaded Duck squad to the Big Ten, which should contend for a league title.

Although Iowa has had multiple starting quarterbacks over the last five seasons, how would Hawkeye fans rank these signal-callers based on past performances?

Nate Stanley: A four-year starter, who finished second in career passing yards, touchdown tosses and was Iowa's last quarterback to get drafted.

Spencer Petras: A three-year starter, who threw for 5,199 yards, 24 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. He helped Iowa clinch the Big Ten West in 2021.

Deacon Hill: He started the final nine games last season. Hill led Iowa to six wins, threw for 1,152 yards, five touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Alex Padilla: He was mainly Petras' backup, but received a lot of action in 2021. Padilla threw for 821 yards, three scores and four interceptions.

Cade McNamara: He started the first five games in 2023, threw for 505 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions, but can't seem to stay healthy.

Adrian Martinez: He was Nebraska's starter for four seasons under Scott Frost. Martinez left as the program's all-time leader in total offense.

Casey Thompson: He threw for 2,407 yards, 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 10 games in 2022. Thompson has trouble staying healthy.

Jeff Sims: Matt Rhule nabbed him as his starter for the 2023 season, but that changed after he threw four interceptions in the first two games.

Heinrich Haarberg: He started eight games in 2023, and led Nebraska to wins over Northern Illinois, Louisiana Tech, Illinois, Purdue and Northwestern.

Chubba Purdy: He started the final two games of last season. During that span Purdy threw for 358 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Ed Orgeron: He posted a 45-18 record in five seasons at LSU, which included an SEC and National Title. He also had a Heisman-winning quarterback.

Will Muschamp: He posted a 28-21 record in four seasons at Florida, including an 11-2 campaign. Muschamp went 28-30 in five years at South Carolina.

Dan Mullen: He went 69-44 in nine seasons at Mississippi State. Mullen went 34-15 in four seasons at Florida, with two double-digit win campaigns.

Jimbo Fisher: He posted a 45-25 record in six seasons at Texas A&M, including a 9-1 campaign in 2020. He's getting paid $75 million to sit on his couch now.

Jeremy Pruitt: He led Tennessee for three seasons, and finished with a 16-19 record. Pruitt had an eight-win campaign in 2019, including a bowl victory.
