This week on the podcast we talk about the Oscar nominated film “Drive My Car” directed by Ryûsuke Hamaguchi. Check it out 👉
Movie summary:
After his wife's unexpected death, Yusuke Kafuku, a renowned stage actor and director, receives an offer to direct a production of Uncle Vanya in Hiroshima. There, he begins to face the haunting mysteries his wife left behind.
Our thoughts: This movie had a clear theme throughout of dealing with grief and it did a good job of showing the audience what the characters were going through. The acting was very good all around. However, the run time could have been cut down so much. It was hard to stay focused on a 3 hour film that took its time with every shot and every scene.

Have you seen The Batman yet? We just saw it and our full spoiler review is out now! Link in bio!
The edit above took a lot of time to make! So liking the post, saving, and sharing would be greatly appreciated!
Quick Review of The Batman:
The Batman brought back the grittiness and darkness that made the Dark Knight trilogy so good. Robert Pattinson was excellent as Batman and Colin Ferrell transformed not only his voice but also his physical appearance for his role as the penguin. Jeffrey Wright, Zoë Kravitz, and Paul Dano were also incredible. This movie felt like a crime drama with zodiac killer vibes with Batman thrown in the mix. It worked so well though and with the focused direction from Matt Reeves this film will be remembered as one of DC’s best.
What did you think of the film? Comment below!

Don’t miss the episode this week where the boys talk about Netflix’s stop motion animated film “The House”.
Movie summary:
Across different eras, a poor family, an anxious developer and a fed-up landlady become tied to the same mysterious house in this animated dark comedy.
This movie consists of three separate stories that are all tied together with the house. The stop motion animation is extremely impressive and unique. The first story was the best and should have been saved for last! The other two stories were good but were not quite as intriguing. Check it out if you’re into stop motion animation!

This season was so intense and the stakes are raised once again! The fast improv dialogue, the crazy good acting by everyone, and the surprising character arcs really put this season at the top.
