The Sunday Sound of Polka Music A Thirty Year Tradition on the Radio in Western Pennsylvania, The Sunday Sound of Polka Music is now It's a fun show. Tune in because it feels good!

In August of 1981, Leo Stanek got behind the microphone at WNCC in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania for the first time. Fluent in Polish and knowledgeable about the records he was spinning, Leo's polka program was a hit from the start. Cards, letters and phone calls kept coming---week after week, month after month, year after year. Families counted on Leo each Sunday and folks in Cambria, Clearfield, Blai

r and Indiana Counties tuned in regularly. The show became as much a part of Sunday as church services or dinner at Grandma's house. Through the years, the call letters and frequencies changed, but Leo's commitment to making folks feel happy on Sunday mornings never wavered. Leo Stanek passed away on February 10th, 2012, but the show is no a PODCAST with Leo's son, Gerry. Gerry prefers the classic polkas from the 40s, 50s and 60s; Ray Henry, Walt Solek, Gene Wisniewski and more. You'll also hear the newer records that hold up to that standard; Lenny Gomulka, Eddie Blazonczyk and more.
