Our updated BBCOR Top 10 🫡 1. Never thought we’d have a $500 composite at the top, but the Icon has kinda left us no choice… 106.7 is craaazy. 2. The Atlas is still the best bang for your buck in BBCOR. No question. Good luck finding one. 3. The CatX is the lightest-swinging BBCOR on the market… and because of that it’s quickly becoming one of the most popular bats in high school baseball. Legit swings like a -5. 4. The Select Pwr might be the single most satisfying bat to hit with. Tons of barrel, amazing feel, great sound, and manageable swing weight. 5. Sleeper bat of the year: Bonesaber Hybrid. A lot of people were mad this wasn’t in our “Battle for #1” video - it will get another chance in 2023 Bat Madness. 6. The Goods…. as we’ve discussed before, this bat would be Top 3 if it wasn’t for 4 years in a row of the same durability issue. 7. Voodoo One… same situation as The Goods. Hopefully DeMarini can solve this for good in 2024 and return these bats to their former glory. 8. Another candidate for Sleeper Bat of the Year - the CatX Connect. Super popular in high school/college right now. The most “contact hitting-ish” 2-pc hybrid you’ll ever swing. Basically hits like a Meta with way more juice. 9. Mass=Gas. The Stinger Nuke is an absolute monster if you can handle endloaded bats. Durable, cheap, and a shockingly good sweet spot. 10. The little brother of the “Nuke” - the Guardian is super similar to the Nuke, but it’s slightly more approachable for most hitters. It takes away some mass, which is really what “makes the Nuke, the Nuke” but it still absolutely bangs. The durability feedback is in: 1) Over 70% of the submissions from our followers were broken DeMarinis. Broken knobs/endcaps on the Voodoo One & Goods 1-pc, and telescoped handles on The Goods 2-pc. We anticipate that DeMarini will address these issues with their 2024 bats. 2) The Atlas is breaking occasionally- but the issues seem to be much less significant than the DeMarinis. The Select Pwr and Meta continue to be notoriously reliable. 3) The early reports of broken end caps on the Rawlings Icon is a little bit concerning… 4) Stinger/Warstic/Marucci continues to be very reliable when it comes to durability. Especially impressed with Marucci - there are a ton of CatX’s out there.
