Can’t believe it’s been two years already.
I am the luckiest girl in the world for getting to wake up with you every day. You are kind, thoughtful, hilarious, compassionate, gorgeous inside and out and among the most intelligent people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. You constantly surprise me even after seven years together. To see the love you have for our family, our friends, our pups and even strangers is so special and it makes me feel even more grateful to get to spend my life with you. We’ve had an insane month but we are so thankful to all the family and friends that have made us feel so loved (you know who you are) throughout some of the scariest, most stressful yet most exciting times!

It truly warms my heart to see all the support our Madison family has given us 🥹🫶🏻 it does not go unnoticed and you will certainly be missed 💕

- a little update on Macky: he’s doing much better, improving every single day with physical therapy and lots of rest.

- a little update on us: Next week, it’s our second wedding anniversary (even though we still feel like honeymooners haha ☺️) and we will be taking a much needed break from house hunting and moving talk. Madison has been so good to us and we will always have a place in our hearts for this city, but we’re onto our next adventure.

Our joint birthday and Father’s Day weekend was so much fun. I am immensely grateful to my mom, dad and tata for making the trip (driving 22 hours!!) not only to spend my birthday and the rest of the weekend with me but also to help out as we prepare for a very exciting few months. I could not be happier to have them here💗💗
Thank you to everyone who took the time to wish me a happy birthday on Friday and a very happy Father’s Day to all the fathers in my life. I wasn’t on my phone all weekend -which in many ways means it was a good one- but I am feeling so loved reading through all your messages. Love you all 🥰

Museum morning was so great 🥹 seeing the Rembrandt and Vermeer collections at Rijksmuseum was just incredible. Headed to the Van Gogh Museum after and just about melted while walking through it. These are works that have been on my bucketlist and my walls for years and I can’t put into words how special it was to see them in person. Cried a little bit (who’s surprised really!?) but pictures simply don’t do it justice! 💗 also… personal win of the day: got on and off on the correct train stops for the first time this trip 😂

Day 3: woke up and headed to the nearest outlet (about 40 minutes outside of Amsterdam) to check out what items they have that aren’t sold in the US (I have a problem I know 🙈), grabbed a few small things and took the train back to the city, walked through the very cute neighborhood of Jordaan and stopped by to try some local food (thank you for the recommendation 🫶🏻). From there, headed to Vondelpark, a 70 acre park in the heart of the city and a great spot to people watch. On the way back to the train station, stumbled upon this “2D bar” that was so fun! At this point, it started to rain HARD and I was wearing a white top so I panicked and made a pit stop at a local market which ended up being awesome because I got to pick up every Dutch snack and candy I was recommended to try and bring it back to the hotel so Brock can try them too 💗
PS: Days since I last got off on the wrong stop / got on the wrong train: 0 (it happened again today😭)

day 2: surprised Brock by waking up early and bringing him birthday breakfast in bed (the croissants were his favorite), got lost on the train for a few hours, walked 45 minutes the wrong way and ended up in a gorgeous neighborhood where an 80 year old Dutch woman told me she knew I was not American because of my style (and I took that as a huge compliment lol) and invited me to have tea with her on her porch, then headed to and did some shopping, tried a Dutch pancake, made a new friend while visiting the bench, stopped by a 60 year old analog Photo Booth with a flash so bright and poorly timed that I had to redo the entire photo strip because the first one was so bad I had to eliminate all evidence of such bad photos of me ever existing 😁, I narrowly beat the rain by a few minutes to the train station and miraculously got off on the right stop to have the most amazing Spanish pizza and watch the sunset from a 16th floor 💗
