Our friends at AP Records are busy. After our release with Iron Moose, there’s a pile of other releases from their roster in the pipeline.

Recording Killdozer (Out March 15) with IRON MOOSE was a blast.

To capture the sound of one of the tightest live bands around we took a trip up to in Bolton to record them live off the floor.

We Love Sound Inc. are festival and concert experts with a small studio in a barn on a working horse farm. They really care about their work so we knew we’d be in good hands.

In one afternoon, we got two IRON MOOSE songs down, and a feature on an upcoming track (to be announced).

Who the heck is IRON MOOSE?

Iron Moose is a woman-fronted crossover thrash band from Niagara that stampeded onto the scene in 2019. The band’s unique, high-energy songs cover everything from social satire, hood life and partying. They have opened for legendary bands like The Forgotten Rebels, Dayglo Abortions, Ripcordz and Random Killing.

How’d FLAG and IRON MOOSE link up?

FLAG linked up with IRON MOOSE through Trev and Coop’s punk project, THE DOMINION who are both represented by AP Records (awesome folks, look them up).

After hearing that the MOOSE was having trouble recording the sound they wanted, FLAG reached out to see if they could help.

The MOOSE were open to it and after a chat with the folks at AP Records, the partnership was born.

How is FLAG helping IRON MOOSE?

It’s no exaggeration to say that IRON MOOSE is one of the tightest live bands on the scene today. But they had limited studio experience and needed more support in that space.

FLAG felt the best way to capture IRON MOOSE’S sound was to work with a live-sound expert and record live off the floor. So, we contacted Dayne at We Love Sound Inc, a Live Music Production company with a small studio in Bolton, Ontario.

After an afternoon of recording, we have two solid thrash singles that showcase this band’s amazing talent.

FLAG is also handling digital distribution of the singles to streaming platforms and independent radio, and working with AP Records and Plunkorama radio to promote the band’s music.

What does FLAG get out of it?

In short, a better, more diverse scene.

IRON MOOSE retains 100% of the rights to their music, and the ability to re-record their music at any time.

IRON MOOSE’S first single, Killdozer will be released on March 15 on FLAG Records and AP Records. Presave now!
