Duggan has a brother called Jack, and is a supporter of Millwall Football Club.[citation needed]. Both her and
her brother attended Bacon's College Secondary School in Rotherhithe, South-East London.[citation needed]

In 2003, Duggan played the part of Little Cossette in the hit stage show Les Misérables at the Palace Theatre, London.[1] She has also played the lead roles in two short films, she played Amanda in Between Us[2] (2004) and Ellie in Spoilt Eggs (2006).[2]
It was announced in May 2006 that Duggan would be playing Lauren Branning in the BBC soap opera EastEnders and she first appeared on screen on 3 July 2006.[3] As Lauren Branning on EastEnders, Duggan worked most closely with the actors Jo Joyner (Tanya Branning), Jake Wood (Max Branning), Lorna Fitzgerald (Abi Branning), Charlie Clements (Bradley Branning), Scott Maslen (Jack Branning), Melissa Suffield (Lucy Beale), Thomas Law (Peter Beale), June Brown (Dot Branning), and John Bardon (Jim Branning). The actress was axed from the show in May 2010 by the new executive producer Bryan Kirkwood[4] and was replaced by Jacqueline Jossa. In 2010, Duggan played Emily in the film Rules of Love, performing in one of the songs.[5]
