And join the event @.... We can all claim to be a fan of some BBC programs.

I am sure for most, you'd state Sir David Attenborough, Doctor Who or Eastenders and the like. But equally there are other shows on privately funded channels that we all like too. Even David Attenborough said that The BBC had become too big, and its 'sails need to be trimmed' — it needed to be 'refocused', and had 'strayed from the straight and
narrow'. This reflects the viewpoint of most licence

-fee payers. Like this page if you don't care about advertising on the BBC. The biggest anti BBC campaign on facebook gathered 500.000 members until recent facebook group archiving left the group with only 230. Although this was a great effort, it does not show the BBC or the Government the true British angst about the treatment of their customers. We are customers!! You cannot simply refuse this entertainment service, without appearing to be dishonest in the eyes of TV Licensing. The non-viewer does not fit into their framework. To TV Licensing there are licence-payers and licence-dodgers and the non-viewer (with whom they have no business) is treated as a suspect licence-dodger and a suspected liar. You need to, we need to, show power in numbers. Please join this group and recommend your friends (instructions below) and give this petition the support it needs. Have a flick through your TV guide now and see what is on at this very moment. Would you stop and watch whatever's on? I had a look recently.... Holby City, Football, Don't tell the bride, Botany a blooming history and on BBC news - a film review on Tinker tailor soldier spy (worth £150.00?) I am certain that you will discover that there is nothing worth paying the exorbitant licence fee for. If you want to pay £150 a year to watch Eastenders then do so, but most of us could live without. How often does your everyday life involve murder, prostitution, in**st, r**e, paedophilia, homosexual affairs, torture, gang fights, drug addiction, alcoholism or armed robbery? All of these topics have been screened by the BBC whenever the ratings war with ITV demands a few even more shocking episodes. Apparently The BBC provides an 'essential service'......

Paying MPs thousands of pounds to appear on BBC programmes

MPs have criticised the BBC over its 'immunity from accountability' and its 'reluctance' to even consider value for money when making programmes. The Public Accounts Committee is furious that the broadcaster has not opened up its books so that licence payers can see how their money is spent. We already pay Virgin Media, Sky TV etc... All other channels use advertising to fund programming. I'm sure the general census is that everyone wants The BBC licence fee abolished, put on pay-per-view/subscription or simply to allow us a choice. Even if you don't completely agree then there is a civil liberty issue here to be concerned about. All of us will have to go digital, be it Virgin Media, Sky TV, Freeview etc. Allow us to opt out of BBC services to avoid the fee. I am sure Sky or Virgin at least could update their services to allow this function on our digital boxes. Some may argue that The BBC doesn't have advertising (we all suffer from rubbish adverts) but for those that have that opinion, also ask yourself.... What's better? A few adverts or paying an enforced out of date licence fee? Only through strong public opinion can there be a change. 500.000 members is not going to cut it. It doesn't even raise the eyebrows of even the lowest paid workers at the BBC. All aboard or abandon ship. Also visit the sister group page @
