Just a reminder that this show, which airs each Saturday evening at 6:00 PM CST on 91.3 KVLU and KVLU.org, is still going strong and still very much looking for new artists to play on the radio. If you or your band has new music out or want to help promote a local show, send me messages here. Even better, send emails to [email protected]! You can also listen to every single episode of this show (going back to 2016) at www.mixcloud.com/wrongsideoftexasrecords! New music keeps this thing going, so send it to me! Please?

Our Story

The Local Scene is a weekly show that explores Southeast Texas-produced music and work by artists coming through the area while on tour. With an emphasis on independently produced original music, the Local Scene will introduce you to the local bands you should be listening to – and fill you in on the best shows coming our way. The show is hosted by Christopher Garza, a local music enthusiast, vinyl record collector and co-founder of the local DIY independent vinyl only record label, Wrong Side of Texas Records. He and other co-founder Jason Stowell diligently try to share the best of the local music scene through this radio show and their record label. Submit your band's (profanity free - this is public radio, silly) tracks to [email protected]. The show airs each Saturday on 91.3 KVLU or stream it at KVLU.org at 6:00 PM CST.

After the shows air, Christopher will load the episodes to the show’s mixcloud page (www.mixcloud.com/wrongsideoftexasrecords) where you can stream them at a later date an at your convenience. Learn more here: www.wsotrecords.com
