About the podcast

Regeneration Rising is a podcast that features conversations between young agrarians and their mentors about the challenges and joys of life in agriculture. Young farmers talk to experienced mentors about everything from fixing tires to marriage to soil carbon. As we face the challenges of repopulating our farm fields and rangelands with a new generation equipped to build a thriving ecosystem and an abundant future, the relationships young farmers develop with their veteran counterparts are critical. They are our Regeneration Rising.

Rather than a traditional interview structure, both podcast participants engage in mutual conversation, asking and answering one another’s questions. The monthly podcast explores topics including agriculture, mentorship, land transition, soil health, wildlife, entrepreneurship, educational resources, resilience, struggle, personal growth, and community. The Quivira Coalition, PastureMap, and the Grassfed Exchange co-sponsor the podcast produced by two young agrarians, Shawna Burhans and Ariel Bobbett.
