We are all aware that in 2019 the Bahamas were hit by devastating storms that tore through the island. Massive damage was the result.

The NMBCA under the leadership of President Dr. Anthony E. Sharpe, and our Foreign Mission Board Chair, Pastor Daryl Carter, have joined with the four other African American Conventions to institute the BAHAMA INITATIVE.

The NMBCA will be having a night of Simultaneous Revivals around the country.

On the night of January 22, 2020 at the South Phoenix Baptist Church located at 2006 East Broadway Rd., Phoenix, Dr. Bernard Black Pastor, will be the host site for Arizona. Service will start at 7pm.

Our guest Revivalist will be the Senior Pastor of the Life Changers Global Ministries, Earl Newton.

The goal of the NMBCA is to raise $200,000. Our Convention is asking for all Pastors in the valley if you will to donate $200.00 and each church member to give $20.00.

The NMBCA is in partnership with the four other African American Conventions having a collective goal of ONE MILLION dollars toward the rebuilding of the island.

2020 NMBCA Winter Board

The General Missionary Baptist State Convention of Arizona (GMBSCA) welcomes the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America (NMBCA) Winter Board 2020 to sunny Phoenix, Arizona on February 24th - 27th, 2020. National President Dr. Anthony Sharp and hundreds of delegates from around the country will meet at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel located at I17 and Peoria for praise, worship and planning meetings. The local host for this event are Rev. C.R McDuffy, Pastor of St. John Institutional Baptist Church, Rev. Ottley Holmes Pastor of Crystal Fountain Baptist Church, and Dr. Bernard Black, Pastor of South Phoenix Baptist Church.

Monday Night February 24, 2020 - NMBCA Board Emphasis Night - 7:00PM
Guest Minister: Rev James Preston, Pastor of Bethesda Community Baptist Church

Tuesday Night February 25, 2020 - NMBCA WB Opening Musical - 7:00PM
Featuring Gospel Music from choirs around the valley including St. John IBC, South Phoenix MBC, Union IBC, Shiloh BC Mesa, Bethesda Community BC and New Salem BC all under the direction of Rev. Ricky Gholston and Wesley Jones, Jr.
Musical Tickets: The price of musical tickets is $15.00 which includes the opportunity to win a 52 in TV or a tablet as giveaways. (Purchase tickets at the door or from your local church)
Souvenir Books: Souvenir books for the 2020 Winter board session and musical program may be purchased for $10:00 each
Location: The musical will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Sheraton 4-Points Hotel.

Daily NMBCA meetings and activities including:
Morning Glory: 7:00am Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings
Late Night Preaching Service: Tuesday and Wednesday Nights at 9:00PM
Winter Board Planning Sessions: Daily Monday through Thursday 8:00am - 6:00PM

February 19, 20, 21, 2020 - NMBCA Evangelism Team - 5:00pm - 9:00pm Nightly
Prior to the arrival of the NMBCA Winter Board delegates the NMBCA Evangelism Team
will hit the streets of Phoenix and close each night with a Praise and Worship service at the St. John Institutional Baptist Church, Pastor Rev. C. R. McDuffy, 1428 S. 13th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85007.
Wednesday Night NMBCA Evangelism Musical - 7:00pm. Gospel, Praise & Worship
Thursday Night Evangelism Worship Service - 7:00pm. Pastor Rev. Samford Mumphrey and the Broadway Baptist Church will be the Guest Minister.
Friday Night Evangelism Worship Service - 7:00pm. Pastor John Johnson and the Morning Star Baptist Church of Avondale, Az will be the Guest Minister.
