I’ve never lied to a client about being early for a session and then asked them to take photos to kill time until my client showed up. But that’s exactly what I did here lol. Having the surprise engagement be in the MIDDLE of an engagement session was tough but it was so fuuunnnn!! I was shaking nervous when I walked up to them but we got it done. Thank you for trusting me with this! Y’all are magic.

A Turquoise Flower Dream

If you’ve seen my stories at all you’ve probably seen me talk about .
There’s something about being forced to see the world in a different way that just sparks so much joy in my heart. Getting out of my comfort zone with RISK has been the #1 way that I maintain passion for the things I love. It’s hard NOT to feel inspired when you are terrified yet… excited? Being terrified yet excited is my favorite pastime lol.

Wedding double exposures from 2020
•
Some of my best wedding photos from December 2020 in Alys Beach, FL! Iremember waking up during sunrise and telling I was going to get a few snaps and use them as double exposures when we take our portraits 12 hours later. So the pink/purple is the sunrise before the couple got married, the orange is the sunset right after they got married, and the stars are from the night they got married. I love love. 🥰📸 (Omg photos from my Canon digital camera)

So much anxiety and fear in my heart when it came to this trip to California. I was by myself taking pictures for a lot of it. But back in December 2021 I found something inside of my heart that told me “take a photo when you’re inspired sure, but DEFINITELY take a photo when you’re extremely uncomfortable.” That changed my life. Forever. Inspiration manifests in so many different shapes and if you listen to your body, you’ll find the moment. It’s right there just take the photo.

This is one of them there “portfolio” shots people be talking about. Probably one of my best… and it came from a whole “mistake” I thought I was making because of my social anxiety. 2021 was a time of learning who I was as an artist and this trip answered a lot of questions for me. Thank goodness I settled for this photo… Also another potential print 👀

I’ve been looking for new perspectives to see through lately and have been extremely inspired by reflections. They cause me to challenge what my mind thinks is “normal” and look at myself as I look at other things. It’s really interesting how different perspectives can change the way you live your life, and for me, document my life.

My Friend’s Friends (so far)

This project… wow. My heart is soooo full and I am sooo happy with the way it’s coming out so far. As I do more of them I gain more and more confidence and the sessions get more and more fun. It started as “people look like their pets” but it turned into “people LOVE their pets” and it’s so fulfilling. I get to take pictures, hang out with my friends, and hang out with their PETS?!? A RARE WIN-WIN-WIN??!!?! A TRIPLE WIN?!!?! Anyways… enjoy photos of my friends… and My Friend’s Friends 🤭

Going to the city before the sun rises is an interesting experience. Nobody is left except a few drunk dudes playing football complaining about how it hurts to catch since it was 16 degrees out. Wild… and I got it all on film 😎
