What a trip down memory lane! Our own Brian Bain celebrated a special 20th anniversary screening of his critically acclaimed documentary film "Shalom Y'all", and took part in a panel exploring the changes in southern Jewish culture over the two decades since the film was made.
"Shalom Y’all", a comedic documentary about Jews in the South, was presented in collaboration with the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience and The New Orleans Film Society to a sold-out crowd on Sunday, Dec. 3rd at the Broad Theater in New Orleans.

Proud to announce that “Commuted”, a documentary film by award-winning director Nailah Jefferson premiered at the New Orleans Film Festival last night, and our own Jake Springfield was the Director of Photography on this labor of love that took six years to shoot and complete. The film follows Danielle Metz, whose triple life sentence was commuted by the Obama administration in 2016, as she confronts the wounds of incarceration and goes on a journey to find purpose and love. We’ve always been fans of mural art and knew the fence at our office on Tulane Ave. would make the perfect canvas. After spotting some awesome murals in our Mid-City neighborhood by Madison Roy and Bruna Petalla, we were sure they’d hit it out of the park on this one. Tada! Check out their beautiful work.
