BREAKING NEWS 🇲🇬

ANDRY RAJOELINA – Madagascar’s President since 2019 has been Re-elected as the Country’s President for a Second 5 Years Term with 2.8 Million Votes or 59% of the Votes in a Controversial Election that had 10 out of 13 Candidates Boycotting and asking their Supporters to Boycott this Election.Voter turnout stood at 45% which means over Half of 11 Million Registered Voters did Not go out to Vote.

The Run-up Period to this Election was marred by Violent Protests led by the 10 Boycotting Candidates and their Supporters, protesting against President Rajoelina’s Candidacy which they said was Illegal and Unconstitutional.
President who was sworn in on January 2019 after Winning December 2018 Presidential Run-off against Marc Ravalomanana, acquired France Citizenship in 2014 according to a Recent News Revelation. The Decision to acquire French Citizenship should have automatically made him lose Madagascar’s Citizenship according to Madagascar’s Opposition Leaders who are basing this Argument on the Country’s Law. In his Defense, President Rajoelina has denied accusations of trying to conceal his French Naturalization, saying he became French Citizen in order to enable his Children pursue their Studies in France and that he has not been notified about his Loss of his Citizenship in Madagascar.

The Crisis started escalating in September 2023 when resigned in line with the Country’s Constitution in order to run for Re-election. After his Resignation, Madagascar’s Senate President was legally set to take over and lead a Caretaker Government awaiting the Election of a New President. Senate President Mr. Herimanana Razafimaheha refused to take over citing “Personal Reasons”. In a Controversial Move, the Country’s Prime Minister Mr. Christian Ntsay who a close Ally of President Rajoelina, assumed the Responsibility and created a Controversial Collegial Government to lead the Transition. This Move further angered the Opposition who now said that President Rajoelina has orchestrated an Institutional Coup.

Andry Rajoelina- a Media Mogul and Music DJ first rose to Power in 2009 after inciting Mass Protests and a Military Coup against the then President, Marc Ravalomanana who was forced to step down by the Army in March 2009. Andry Rajoelina was allowed by the same Army to take over as a Transition President on March 21, 2009, a Position he held until January 2014 when Hery Rajaonarimampianina was elected President. This means that Andry Rajoelina has cumulatively been the President of Madagascar for 10 Years as of TODAY.

The Now 49 Years old President-elect will now wait for 10 Days as the Country’s Constitutional Court deal with Legal Contests and Petitions against his Victory before Validating or invalidating it and thereafter allow for his Swearing in for a New 5 Years Term. 11 of the 12 Candidates who were running against President Andry Rajoelina have already Rejected these Results saying the Election was riddled with Irregularities and that President Rajoelina was an illegitimate Candidate in this Election.

“Israel is an occupying Power; this was confirmed by the International Court of Justice as well as the United Nations. As an occupying Power, Israel can use Tools applicable to the Rule of Law including Policing Powers to deal with Criminal Actions in the Areas it Occupies. An Occupying State cannot exercise Control over the Territory it occupies and simultaneously attack that Territory on the Claim that it is Foreign and it poses an Exogenous National Security Threat. The Crime of Genocide Sadly Looms Large in the Current Situation in Gaza. The selective Application of (United Nations, Human Rights and Judicial Mechanisms) these International Instruments has resulted in calling to Question, the Effectiveness of the System. It is the System that has failed the People of Gaza as it did in 1994 for the People of Rwanda and later of Bosnia. The System that is Needed Should Not be a Tool for the most Powerful Countries of the World but one that provides Protection for the most Vulnerable. The Inadequacy of the United Nations Security Council which we have pointed to many times, a Council that its Mandate derived from the United Nations Charter for the maintenance of International Peace and Security has become a glaring Fault in the International System. The Security Council due to aggravated Politicization has not at the very least been able to call for a Humanitarian Ceasefire. This once again illustrates the Urgent Need for the Reform of this Body.

Therefore, as South Africa we remain Steadfast in calling for an immediate comprehensive Ceasefire as well as complete opening of all Humanitarian Corridors to ensure that much needed Aid and basic Services reach those in Need. The Actions that we are witnessing daily by Israel are a Violation of International Law, including the United Nations Charter, the Geneva Conventions and all its Protocols. While we express Horror at the Violence, it is Critical that we acknowledge that the illegal Occupation of Palestine by Israel for several Decades has led to bitter Hatred and increased Violence and that this Violence is not the first Violence the People of Palestine are experiencing; it has been going on for Decades and Decades. The Murder of Children and Women by Israel is an Act that should have resulted in the International Criminal Court, issuing an immediate Arrest Warrant for Key Decision Makers including Mr. Netanyahu who is responsible for Violations of International Criminal Law. We want to hear the ICC indicating that an Arrest Warrant would be issued for Leaders of Apartheid Israel who are the Ones supporting the Massacre of the People of Palestine.”- Her Excellency Dr. Grace Naledi Pandor: South Africa’s Revolutionary Minister of International Relations, Cooperation and Foreign Affairs making her Country’s Stand on the ongoing Genocidal War in Gaza, known to the World.

OCTOBER 4, 1️⃣9️⃣8️⃣4️⃣- UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
Pan-African Revolutionary, H.E President Thomas Sankara Stands Up for Palestine 🇵🇸 Palestinians and Palestinian Independence and Freedom.

"I speak out in indignation as I think of Palestinians, whom this most inhuman humanity has replaced with another people, a people who only yesterday were themselves being martyred at leisure. I think of the valiant Palestinian people, the families which have been splintered and split up and are wandering throughout the world seeking asylum. Courageous, determined, stoic and tireless, the Palestinians remind us all of the need and moral obligation to respect the rights of a people.
The quest for peace also involves the strict application of the right of countries to Independence. On this point, the most pathetic indeed, the most appalling example is found in the Middle East, where, with arrogance, insolence and incredible stubbornness, a small country, Israel, has for more than 20 years, with the unspeakable complicity of its powerful protector, the United States, continued to defy the international community.
Only yesterday, Jews were consigned to the horrors of the crematorium, but Israel scorns history by inflicting on others the tortures it suffered.

In any event, Israel--whose people we love for its courage and sacrifices of the past should realize that the conditions for its own tranquillity are not to be found in military strength financed from outside. Israel must begin to learn to be a nation like other nations, one among many.
For the present, we declare from this rostrum our militant, active solidarity with the fighters, both men and women, of the wonderful people of Palestine, for we know that there is no Suffering that has no End."

Above is an Excerpt from a Speech made by One of Africa's Greatest Pan-African Revolutionary, Captain and Leader, His Excellency President of Burkina Faso, at the 39th General Assembly of the United Nations Heads of States and Governments in New York.
