We are a 'somewhat average' family tired of a life that seems like Groundhog Day. So we've decided to buy a Catamaran and cruise the Caribbean for a year.

Another beautiful day…a great chance to make some messy stuff!! Floof & Ooblek! Just white/natural…I was worried about the food coloring! Such a fun and satisfying activity for the boys! 😀

Christmas gets a bit trickier and trickier every year, as the boys get older…it means many late nights for us while they fight going to sleep before dawn 😂😂 Christmas Eve had two challenges…1. I needed to assemble a cold plunge tub after they both fell asleep (and they were relentless in waiting up to catch Santa)2. We’re on a service dock, just having some warranty work completed and we can’t make water in this marina (the water is simply not clean enough)…and the dock water hose has little to no water pressure.OH! And side note #3 - you need ICE for a cold plunge and we’re in the tropics and it’s hot everywhere…ice does not last!So with the odds against me…I picked up 4 huge bags of ice on Christmas Eve and managed to finagle them into every bit of freezer we have aboard (telling the kids that the shop simply gave me too much ice by accident)…set up the tub around 3am by flashlight…and even managed to get it filled about 3/4 of the way with our slow dock hose by about 5am! To see their faces Christmas morning (which required a bit of caffeine) was totally worth it! Who has a cold plunge tub on their boat?!? ❄️🧊I’m proud of this one! ☝️

All things Merry! 🎄 We had a wonderful December! Started in Grenada and then made our way north, stopping at Sandy Island, Carriacou (gorgeous) and a sweet little island called Bequia (part of St Vincent & the Grenadines) which was amazing too! We got to spend Christmas with great friends in Martinique! French islands are known for their food, can you say Lardons??? 😂Here’s a glimpse at the merry parts of our last month! ❤️Sorry Santa, Nixon believes you need to diet 😂

So apparently there is a McDonalds on Martinique! Never seen our boys move so fast to get somewhere 🤣. We joined our good friends and went and got our Micky D’s on!! Surprisingly, the French version of McDonalds tastes better and just feels a little healthier.

Our friends at sent us a bunch of cool stuff just in time for Christmas. These are their low-top scuba 3mm booties. My son thinks they’re low-key fire 🔥

These low-top 3mm scuba booties are quickly becoming an everywhere shoe while we cruise the Caribbean for the year. Great for Scuba of course, but we also use them as our go-to beach/dinghy shoes.

Coming from the action sports industry, they remind me of Vans….but waterproof and a lot more comfortable. Feels like we’re walking on water! Thanks 🙏
