Happy birthday to The Global Voice! Today's a big day for The Global Voice as we're celebrating 15 years of being on the air! And because of this milestone, we're having a three-hour birthday party later today at 16:00 UTC with Chrissie Cochrane, Kelly Sapergia, and Steve Matzura hosting.

Come Help Us Celebrate 13 Years Worldwide Streaming!
Message from our Executive Director:
Hi All.

To celebrate The Global Voice's 13th birthday on Sunday May 1, from 05:00
UTC, 1 am Eastern, Saturday 30 May at 10 pm Pacific, 6 am Sunday in the UK
and 7 am in Central Europe, we will be streaming in full the We're with U
concert originally heard on many internet stations on April 16.

The donation links still remain open, and last I heard the total was
$103,792.94. Let's see if we can get it up to $110,000.

Immediately following the concert, we'll have our live birthday party
celebrating 13 years on air, and all are welcome. Interaction will be
primarily via Zoom, the link to join us being:

Our 13th birthday, and an encore of the We’re With U benefit concert for Ukraine!

Tonight on the Global Classical Hour we're going to Brazil, and we're taking the train!
Please join me for an hour of western classical music from around the globe. This week we're taking a trip to Brazil, land of samba, soccer and carnaval. We'll hear works composed in 1930 and 1890 by 2 Brazilian composers, Heitor Villa-Lobos and Alexandre Levy, who use Brazilian folk music in their pieces. And, if you like train songs, we've got one!
