Georgia Outdoors Radio was started in early 2007 to fill a void in radio programming for the outdoor industry and outdoor enthusiast in Georgia. Though the show’s primary focus is on fishing and hunting in Georgia, we also try to cover as much as possible for Georgia outdoor recreation like camping, hiking, boating, kayaking, primitive skills, etc... even edible mushroom hunting and an emphasis on
getting the family outdoors. The show’s guests include the pros to the average Joes like fishing tournament anglers, professional shooters and hunting guides, and the everyday outdoorsman and outdoorswoman. Host Brad Myers is a seasoned broadcast veteran of more than 20 years, with a lifelong passion for the outdoors. Growing up as a kid between Georgia and Louisiana, his outdoor adventures allowed him to fish the grass flats of the Gulf of Mexico to the waters of northern Ontario, Canada. Georgia offered him great opportunities for hunting, which he still takes advantage of today. After a long history in corporate broadcasting, he decided to go on his own and incorporate his love for the outdoors with his knowledge of the broadcast industry. Brad is a family man with his wife, four kids, and two grandkids, and a love of God and country. Tune in each Saturday morning as we discuss every aspect of the great outdoors in the great state of Georgia. As the late great broadcast journalist/story teller Paul Harvey would say, "Here's a strange". I've been observing this river birch for over 4 months now and I can say I have never seen anything like these marks that were not made by a human before in my 50+ years of tromping through the woods in North America. Do you recognize these markings or have seen the same? Looking for your best answer, I have my WAG in. Esp. looking forward to any feed back from our GA DNR/WRD biologist and other biologist. Any Bigfoot takes get a black flag and a DQ lol.

Finally tis the season...Box-O-Morel Au Lichtenberg/Coweta County 03-23/2018 We found our first one almost a month ago while the temps had been warming seeing some upper 70's and thought the season was off to an early start, after all the states first report came in on Feb 22nd from Augusta. However that wasn't the case as winter refused to pass on hitting us with several more nights of below freezing temps knocking the morels progress back. How this morel season here will pan out is still up in the air but it is looking a bit more promising. Keep your fingers crossed & happy hunting
