Here’s how to get your discoloured whites looking bright again and free of stains! ✨ We recently got back from a holiday so our whites were looking a bit worse for wear! This is how I always wash our whites to get them looking fresh and bright again: 1. Soak your whites in warm water and an oxy powder for 1 - 6 hours (see the back of the oxy powder for the recommended amount to use). The longer you soak the brighter it will be! I used @vanish_uk_official Oxi Action powder and soaked for 3 hours. 2. Wring out your whites and pop in the washing machine with your usual detergent 3. Here are my top 10 cleaning hacks ✨👇🏼 In no particular order as I love them all ☺️ 1. Two lemon halves with a swirl of toothpaste can clean, deodorise and remove limescale build up in your washing machine drum. 2. Mopping your bath tub, shower tray and tiles will save time and effort! 3. Deodorise your mattress by sprinkling on bicarbonate of soda, leaving for at least 30 minutes and vacuuming up. 4. Unblock your drains by using 1 cup of bicarbonate of soda and 2 cups of white vinegar. Cover the plug with a cloth for 10 minutes to keep the reaction travelling down the drain dislodging blockages. Rinse with hot water. 5. Soften your towels by soaking them in soda crystals for at least an hour before washing with your usual detergent and swapping out fabric softener with white vinegar. 6. Clean your chopping board with bicarbonate of soda (or salt) and half a lemon. 7. Use a lint roller to dust your lampshades. 8. Remove hard water stains from your toilet by using a pumice stick to gently scrub it away. 9. Freshen your sofas using the viral pan lid hack. Place a cloth in warm water, a little dish soap and bicarbonate of soda. Wring out and tie around a pan lid. Scrub your sofas, removing and rinsing your cloth when needed. 10. Mix equal parts of dish soap and white vinegar in a scrubbing wand to easily remove limescale from your shower screen. You can either rinse it after wards with water and then dry with a squeegee or you can just remove the suds with a window vac. I have the Karcher one linked in my bio 🧽 2. Use a pumice stick to remove hard water stains in your toilet. You can find pumice sticks linked on my Amazon storefront. 🫧 3. Leave for around 30 minutes (so the bicarbonate of soda can deodorise the mattress and remove any moisture) before vacuuming up. 3. You’re never too old for Easter eggs 🐣 My family still gift each other Easter eggs every year even though my sisters and I are all in our thirties! @Hotelchocolat has the best chocolate eggs to choose from with more cacao, less sugar and made by in-house chocolatier's. Can we just appreciate how thick these Extra Thick eggs are, and the cute keepsake packaging. Here’s some cleaning tasks you can get ticked off in 5 minutes ⏱️ because sometimes that’s all we have time and/or energy for! 1. Dishwasher - remove the filter and soak in warm soapy water. Meanwhile scrub inside the dishwasher and the seals (I am using a scrubbing wand filled with washing up liquid here). Then scrub the filter and replace. Finish off with placing a cup of white vinegar in the dishwasher and put on a quick cycle. 2. Kitchen cabinets - I use a spray bottle of warm water with a few drops of washing up liquid. I then gently scrub them with an extendable scrubbing brush using a Microfibre attachment (linked in bio) 3. Sink - I used washing up liquid and bicarbonate of soda.
