💥Episode 100!!!💥 Listen to the Founder of Self Made Strategies on this episode. Here's a little of what you'll hear on this episode:

"I grew up in North Philly (Olney), went to Temple Undergrad (), after being an automotive technician for a couple of years out of HS. Then, graduated from Rutgers Law (attending at night), self-studied for the bar (passed), back to Temple Law (nights) for an LL.M in Taxation (Masters in Tax Law). All along the way, working by day and attending school in the evenings.

Later, a bit disgruntled with the privileged B.S. found in most law firms, decided to start a pod Self Made Strategies then my own firm Lopes Law LLC- focused on adding value to entrepreneurs, innovators, and creators, rather than on the "billable hour").

In Jan 2020, I started adjuncting at (teaching IP Law, and Entertainment Law). I teach because I want to give back to the community that gave me so much (and I ❤ Temple).

Now, several like minded colleagues and myself, started a production company (stay tuned in early 2021)."

Our guest, on Episode 098, was born in Uganda to two self-employed business owners: a pastor and a lawyer. As a child, he spent his summer days with his parents at their jobs and he picked up the fundamentals of business ownership. Muyinza’s family emigrated to Ontario, Canada in search of more opportunities. At the age of 5, he had his first taste of entrepreneurship with his paper route. After losing his mother to cancer, Muyinza and his family relocated to Boston, Massachusetts, where he began making his music. Surrounded by drug and gun violence in his new neighborhood, Muyinza decided to stay inside and make music. In 2014, he made his most life-changing investment. He moved back home to his father’s house, worked 70 hours a week for a year and was able to save $20K. He then took that money and invested it into an e-commerce business. That business went on to earn him $700K over the next 4 years! The capital earned from this endeavor enabled Muyinza to make his second biggest investment yet: establishing digital marketing companies APRTmedia.com and Beth Creative Group.

Our guest on this episode is a City of Philadelphia sanitation worker, which you might not expect would be coming onto a self-made strategies podcast episode, but he’s taken his position and found an innovative and entrepreneurial way to bring awareness to the need for additional PPE and what sanitation workers are going through on a day to day basis, especially because of all of the pressure on the sanitation system because of COVID-19 more people are home, therefore more trash and 200 out of 1100 sanitation workers, according to the union have gotten sick with COVID-19. And the impact of that has weighed heavily on the city’s sanitation system.
