When The Overlook approached us to creatively direct a styled shoot to help launch their venue, we could not have been more excited. Creating and capturing spaces and experiences is one of our favorite roles at Fare.

From moodboard to menu and shot list to set up, we supported the team in bringing this magical scene to life. With every creative in their zone, the day flowed so freely. What unfolded was a successful brand shoot, the gift of collaboration, and a shared meal at the end of it all.

Six beautiful months of Fare and six reflections of learning from our team as we’ve embarked on this journey 🤍

Since our rebirth in February, we’ve watched our client accounts soar from an organic, slow content approach. Showing up online in an authentic and vulnerable way has shown us statistics above the average time and time again. 

We’ve traveled to California and back twice, connecting with brands we love at Expo West in Los Angeles and creative directing a shoot for our long time love affair, Pure Tarot in Sonoma County. 

We’ve seen the highs and lows of expanding our business into new territories and witnessed things fall right into place, surrendering to the path of least resistance. 

Embracing the Age of Aquarius, our collaboration within the community has flourished into beautiful content creation sessions and experiential design scenes. 

Prioritizing ourselves and our health first, our team has routines for regularly scheduled self-care dates, time offline, and space to sync with our bodies and energy.

This is the new era of marketing. We are beyond proud of our slow mornings, regulated nervous systems, aligned clients and talented creatives in our orbit. We give gratitude for our first six months and for YOU being a part of our story.

Our team is in full summer swing over here! 🌞

We’ve rounded up our favorites of the season and we’re finding a collective love for embracing the seasonality of long days and the summer heat. We couldn’t get away from bodies of water during Cancer season, celebrating summer Fridays off with camping and trips to the lake. Cooling foods and hydrating beverages are taking the front seat as heat waves ride through the midwest. We’re ending the evenings taking long walks with our pups and lovers. Placing intention in the slowness so we can create from a full cup.

As creatives, we value living inspired lives both inside and outside of our work. Finding creativity and ideas in everything, our team seeks creative inspiration in the online and print worlds, but also in the kitchen, around a friend’s dinner table, in the pottery studio, while reading a new book, strolling at the market, during movement and meditation, and so much more.

Our design team gathers monthly to share these hits of inspiration that each member has discovered. When we come together, we share a meal and bring our creative ideas to the table. From there, we dream and envision how these inspirations can be integrated into the design process with our clients and beyond.

And that’s a wrap! What an expansive and magical week for Fare. We’re coming home high off of a successful brand photoshoot in Sonoma County for a new client that we’re helping birth this fall.

This is a special project for Fare. Taking on a brand outside of our typical food and beverage space, as well as celebrating the milestone of offering creative direction and production, has been energizing. We are in love with exploring the earthy and mystical elements of this brand and could not have asked for a better team on set.

Just touched down in Sonoma County! We’re on location this week working with a client on a three-day branding photoshoot across the beautiful landscapes of Northern California. Full creative direction, location scouting, shot-list preparation, and on-site production is being lead by Fare (a dream!). Our team is excited to share the magic that’s to come from this project 🌊

Welcome here, Q3! What a beautiful and expansive season it has been for our team. We planted seeds for growth with our late winter launch, and now this summer, we’re seeing the blooms 🌸 

As our business enters this new season, we’ve expanded our team to better serve our clients and have welcomed exciting new brands aboard. Our team has prioritized balance, embracing slow, nourishing rhythms — proving we can work hard and also enjoy picnics, all sustainably 🌿

MEET THE TEAM: Kara Lust ✨

“For years, I found an insatiable sense of home in and amongst the food space working every mile between the back of house, front of house, and social media side of local restaurants. I even attended culinary school to become an executive chef thinking the apron was my path - until I tried my hand at marketing. Once I felt how my eye and ear for spreading the word, helping clients exponentially grow, and working to witness new audiences find food in beloved spaces, that was it. I knew it was the center of my creative town, the intersection of all the things I loved and where all my roads had brought me to.”

Kara has been with Amy for over three years and has been an integral part of the evolution of Fare. Her outlook on life, creativity in the food space and beyond, and her ability to deeply connect with our team, clients, and brands, bring joy to our work and lives. Our crew would not be the same without her 🤍
