Don't skip this post. Yes, I know it looks a lot like my post from 2 days ago, but it's related and important.

🔥I might be a social media manager, but I still burned out on my own social media a couple years ago.

I like to keep it real and be honest, so going to talk about something I need to change. I've talked about how I burned out on social media a couple of years ago and how I fixed it. The thing is, that even though I have a doable plan, there's a place where I'm dropping the ball.

My engagement.

I haven't been very consistent with it this year, especially the second half of the year. While I may ultimately need to make some changes to my plan to improve this, I think I'm going to go back to the plan first. It worked, then I got busy and things didn't happen. While I'm going back to my original engagement plan, I'm going to really pay attention to see if it's working for me, from both an energy and social media growth perspective. I will keep you posted and may even have an opportunity for some collaboration that will help you grow your audience as well. Stay tuned.

This might not be what you'd expect to hear from a social media manager, but I burned out on my own social media back in 2024. I was still showing up in some ways, but definitely not in all the places or ways that I wanted to.

If it feels like the last month or so has been extra crazy and busy, you're not alone.

I've felt like that since Thanksgiving time. Along with the extra preparation and planning that comes from the holidays, my son had off school for over 3 weeks of that time. He has special needs, so that impacted what I was able to get done, not just for my business, but also for myself and around the house. I just didn't have the time or energy to do all of the things I normally do.

Today is the day that I get some relief and get back to normal, for the most part (he does have a few days off school this month and snow days often happen). Now that I have this time, I want to be more intentional with it. There are some things I just didn't get to much, if at all, over the last month. So, while I will take time for rest, I will also try to be more focused when working on the things on my to do list.
