THANK YOU COMMUNITY for all your support in me and our campaign. With this ballot count widening the numbers of votes between me and my opponent even more, I received congratulatory texts from my opponent and key community advisors.

Let’s celebrate our community accomplishment. Let’s come together for the betterment of Renton.

TOGETHER, we can have public safety for all, a holistic approach to public safety with appropriate funding for law enforcement, mental health and treatment services, human services, and addressing root causes. TOGETHER, we can have a stronger economic recovery post COVID pandemic and supporting our small businesses and workers. And TOGETHER, we can improve on government transparency. We will build on our equity and inclusion work whereby it is not performative but our words and actions positively and deeply touch lives of our residents. TOGETHER, all things are possible.

Thank you family, friends, and community for joining me on this campaign journey this past one year.

Together, we centered our community in policy discussions from a wholistic approach to public safety for all, renters’ protections, supporting veterans and seniors, promoting and advocating for clean water and protecting our Cedar River and green spaces, and prioritizing small businesses. We challenged the status quo and asked questions for transparency in government.

Thank you for all of your hard work to build our community and for all the thousands of doors we knocked on.

I’m honored to have the sole endorsement of Darrell Pilat, a veteran at our local VFW Post 1263.

I continue to advocate for veterans and seniors and their issues, and making sure the Renton City government doesn’t do away with the parking spaces in front of their building. We need to treat veterans and seniors better. I believe we can do better.

Re-elect Kim-Khanh Van by Tuesday! Outside developers/Masters Builders jumped into my race to help my opponent. They poured in $20,000 plus to influence this election with their independent expenditure money. This is unacceptable to have outside influencers making our local policies and our politicians being bought by them.

Renton needs a Renton solution! And our Renton Community centered campaign has been doing the work, and I have the right experience for Renton.

ESC's Salmon Heroes Family Day is this Saturday from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Liberty Park in Renton. This event is free and open to everyone! We will have different stations to help you view spawning salmon, participate in hands-on salmon science and crafts, and learn how to be a salmon hero this fall. We are excited to see you there!
