We are celebrating our 12th year of FireTribe! I am grateful for the opportunity to design this year’s logo, and would like to explain the symbolism I put into this piece.
The OM is the center, the beginning. It is the birth of sound, and through its journey finds a way to be amplified through our speakers, inspiring us to dance, flow, and release.
The gathering this year falls on a Solar Eclipse, which symbolizes inspiration for us to let go of the past and start writing a different story.
Now, let us look at the meaning of the number 12. It represents one’s self-importance, autonomy, self-reliance and independence. It expresses emotions, hope, open-mindedness, and clear expression. It includes relationships, collaboration, creative thinking, and the pursuit of peace.
In this design, there are 12 parts that swirl around to create the geometric circle in the center. 12 flames surround that circle in the center. Each side of the frequency lines have 12 spikes to them. That is 4 sets of 12. 4X12=48. If you add the 4 and the 8, you got it…12!
Finally, the Merkaba is the representation of the ascension process - believing the body is a vehicle of the spirit. It is a multi-layered approach to reuniting different directions, bringing together the opposites. That energy is a good reminder that, although we may have different beliefs and lifestyles, we are all still connected. It is time to reconnect and no longer let those little differences tear us apart!
As we gather this year, may we truly connect and understand how important we are as individuals and how capable we are - both within ourselves and AS A TRIBE! When we keep our focus on the intentions behind our goals, then we will succeed - especially as we continue building healthy relationships and collaborating in our creative outlets.
