Several of you told me that you were waiting for the audiobook version of Rebel to Your Will. Well, here it is.

Big thank you to to Thomas Joseph Terry for doing the narration.

Check out this great listen on Audible.com. “Hurt people hurt people. But those who have been called by grace become new creations.” Emotional and raw, Sean DeMars tells his story of a life turned around. It is a tale of two families: one scarred by brokenness, another renewed by grace...

Exodus 24 is one of the most important chapters in the Old Testament. It tells the story of the climactic conclusion of the covenant ceremony between God and Israel at the foot of Mt. Sinai. There are a lot of moving pieces in Exodus 24, but I want to draw your attention to three details in particul...

Pitting the trustworthiness of scripture against the historicity of the resurrection is heresy.

The response to our neurodivergence series is likely going to be very similar to that of our Critical Theory series and our Church Planting Movements series.

There will be many who think we are inflating a seemingly benign, fringe phenomena to make it look worse than it is. And just like before, we think the problem is way worse than many of our detractors realize. (We're already receiving a TON of feedback from parents, pastors, and teachers who are seeing the harmful effects of the neurodivergence movement from a boots-on-the-ground perspective.)

Cognitive disabilities are real, and love for neighbor means that Christians must be on guard against godless ideologies and idealogues trying to co-opt genuine issues for their own nefarious purposes.

Somewhere in the middle of this conversation are many Christians who are trying to figure this stuff out in real time, which isn't easy. We want to help with that.

To that end, please pray that we would be wise, gentle, kind, yet firm and informed as we continue to prepare this next series.

For the glory of Christ and the good of the church,

A central problem with the neurodivergence paradigm is that it attempts to reframe any negative, disordered, or undesirable traits as merely "different." In the range of human variation, there are quirks and differences between us that are morally neutral. But some of what makes people "socially awkward" is sin. This could be either personal sin like selfishness, or lack of self-control, or in the case of someone with developmental disorder, the sin of living fallen world.

But when you view "social awkwardness" as purely a social construct that is never the result of sin, it becomes "bullying" to help others correct it. In other words, it becomes "bullying" to help each other produce spiritual fruit in our social interactions.

https://aeon.co/essays/why-the-neurodiversity-movement-has-become-harmful

Ironically, a social-justice movement that aims to highlight the ways in which autistic people have been mistreated by society is now directly responsible for the mistreatment of the most vulnerable of all autistics – many of whom are too severely affected by their condition to speak up for themselves.

The movement has good intentions, but it favours the high-functioning and overlooks those who struggle with severe autism

Should Christians pay taxes?

In this final episode of the Defend and Confirm Podcast's series on political theology, Russell Berger and Sean DeMars look at how rulers can practically apply what the Bible teaches in our nation today.

Today's live episode of Defend and Confirm Podcast argued that Neurodivergence is really nothing more than the most recent iteration of critical theory. Some might say we're just being paranoid or that we're obsessed with critical theory and so we see it everywhere...even where it's not. But take a look at this image. This is not from obscure blog post by a random neurodivergent person in some weird dark corner of the internet. No, this is from The Great Courses on audible.com. The subject matter experts on neurodivergence specifically and explicitly connect their views to identity politics and critical theory.

Series coming soon (Lord willing). Stay tuned.
