Do you feel that nothing makes sense anymore? Our understanding of families, communities, and the wider world can be greatly enhanced by the Laws of Ecology, which are deeply rooted in ancient Indigenous teachings. Despite being credited to the ecologist Barry Commoner and despite periodical loss of knowledge throughout history, these laws REMAIN a rich source of wisdom and guidance. All we have to do is observe the laws of nature for everything to make perfect sense once again.
This article compares and contrasts them to the current economic system. But these four laws can be compared and contrasted to ANY system or relationship.
1. Everything is connected
2. Everything goes somewhere
3. Nature knows best
4. There is no such thing as a free lunch
