Welcome to MCP Network

MCP Network produces original content telling compelling stories from true and creative aspects. Short films and mini-series are carefully created for the platform to have an audience from different generations to come together for a variety of stories. We focus on making sure the understanding of quality over quantity is represented as a great example of the growing independent industry. Working as a team and growing together is one of the major essentials we strive for. One person can not do every job in production in order for it to be a successful hit. Different creative individuals must come together, using more than one brain to produce a masterpiece, but also to support one another to make the race an easy one. The company is currently producing original series and short films leading to one day have a full-length television series to air on major streaming platforms. Furthermore, building the company to have our own Houston base studio allowing others to have a spot for their creative mindset with producing content. Having a platform to allow visionaries to showcase their stories from a deeper meaning is how we will function to keep a united film circle. We believe that supporting each other when others discourage us from being our true selves is imperative in this era and industry. There are many untold stories that deserve to be revealed or showcase to a mainstream audience. Others remain silenced, without the ability to share their truth. Here at MCP Network, we believe in providing a platform to share stories that reflect the good, bad, evil, and ugly.

MCP Network launched in 2014 as Malcolm Carter Productions, creating short films under 20 minutes. Malcolm Carter was 16 years old when he attended Barbara Jordan High School for Careers, participating in the audio/visual production career course. During those 4 years, Malcolm developed love and inspiration for becoming an independent content creator. His first project was ‘Retribution’, which developed into a trilogy between 2014-2015. Malcolm Carter teamed up with a few of his friends and began creating teen-drama series’. Even though he was still starting off as an amateur, he didn’t give up on improving his skills. Working along with his friend, Kevin Adams, who was a major help with his productions as the cinematographer, sound guy, graphic designer, and photographer, they have become the true creators behind the vision of MCP Network. As the years continued to pass, the company started to focus on developing web series. In 2015, ‘Off The Grid’ was the first step of leading into a new look. The short film became a successful run as its first independent project based in the Houston film community. The film brought in over two thousand views on MCP Network YouTube Channel. 3 additional films followed the original, telling a story about four strangers placed in an unfamiliar area, placing them in a situation of crime, mystery, and betrayal.

In 2018, MCP Network changed its direction with web series becoming the focal point for the company. It also became a big year with new releases such as ‘GoodTime Mondays’ and ‘Filthy Prelude’. ‘Filthy Prelude’ released in May 2018, as the first drama series for the company. The series was submitted into film festivals and won two awards as the “Best Web Series/Pilot. The series is about “A guy experiences a dreadful love triangle which leads to him expressing his anger in different factors with social media”, with Malcolm Carter, Sidney Odom, Martina Guerra, Lexus Adams, and Nicole Washington. Not only did the series bring in high rating views, but it became a summer hit for MCP Network.

In 2019, MCP Network added a few more films to the channel such as To Be Frank, Le Joker Noir, Off The Grid: Remastered, One Last Christmas re-release, MCP Network Showcase and the most-watched film series, “The Bad Collection”.
