Run don't walk to downtown San Antonio's new place to be: The Rose of San Antonio on the corner of East Houston St. and Losoya St. in the historic Pincus Building just steps from the Alamo and directly across the street from The BeXar Studios where WIFT SATX+ is in residence. On 7/18/24, we chose The Rose of San Antonio as the location for "The Celestial Awards Party 2024" and hospitality entertainment expert Sarah Hartman (proprietor) and her incredible staff really exceeded all expectations. So much so that we decided to make The Rose San Antonio an official location for conversation, craft cocktails, live music, and delicious fare. Woman owned and women supported!

This class is for standup comedians of all levels who have been performing any length of time and want to increase their writing output, hone their unique style on stage and get more laughs. We will focus on writing, using exercises to help you develop your own comedy voice. In this class we will write weekly and equip you with the tools to continue to produce quality material unique to you as you grow your comedy career. We will have six class sessions and perform in a class showcase. Class is taught by Mary Becquet, actress and comedian, with Big Al Gonzales, one of San Antonio’s most successful touring headliners.

For the past many weeks I've had the pleasure of liaising with the production of Taylor Sheridan's "1923," the second prequel to the hit series "Yellowstone" that tells the story of the next generation of the Duttons after "1883."
I'm posting this in appreciation of Arts & Culture, City of San Antonio lead by Krystal Jones and within that department, the San Antonio Film Commission headed by Kim LeBlanc, Film Commissioner & Music Program Manager, and her stellar team who were the driving force behind this important production deciding to shoot in SATX. Without their tireless dedication to marketing San Antonio as a Film Friendly location and providing excellent services and incentives, this production likely would not have chosen San Antonio.
As the founding CEO of Women in Film & Television San Antonio, and with a 30+ year career in Media & Entertainment working on countless productions, I cannot stress enough the diligence and collaboration it takes to bring a production of this caliber to a location that may not have been integral to the production overall. It takes a village — in this case the downtown San Antonio portion of the Broadway corridor — but it also takes leadership and our Film Commission "Film San Antonio" deserves all the credit.
A big thank you to Laurence Seiterle of Zurich Properties who has been integral in this process! Ceslie Studios and production offices are located at 110 Broadway (the cornerstone of the production locations), and where The BeXar: Social, Studios, Works and Women in Film & Television San Antonio are in residence. I'm also thrilled that the team who made this happen are also members of WIFT SATX+. All women supporting women...and, storytelling!

Our awards show will have a nod to the original "It Girl" Clara Bow who demanded and received parity in billing and pay for her starring roll in the first The Academy Award winning feature film in 1929. I created, produced, and hosted the recurring "Fashion Meets Music & Media" party during New York Fashion Week that I'm excited to say I am redeveloping to mount in downtown San Antonio. Here, one of hundreds of images from the red carpet that is a favorite with my dear friend Holly Cao and entertainment industry lightening rod, famed photographer Mick Rock who I worked with many times (RIP Nov 2021) and entertainment attorney Debbie White who has been at the top of her game for years (a really lovely person and her clients adore her!).
My guest list for these "Fashion Meets Music & Media" parties was a stellar list of luminaries in those fields. They also had to be nice, kind, fun, and happy people to get that invitation :) I've been getting requests to bring it back so......get ready!

I am proudly from a multi-generational military family who is grateful for being raised in San Antonio, Texas, also known as "Military City USA." I made this video on the campus of VelocityTexas in San Antonio and one of the bonuses of visiting there is the gigantically tall flagpole where our beautiful flag waves constantly. On Memorial Day, let us neaver forget and always honor those in the US Military who gave the greatest sacrifice of all for our collective freedom. ❤️ 🇺🇸

Spring! Renewal! I made this image just as the pandemic was hitting my beloved San Antonio in 2020. These are the flower beds on E. Houston St in front of my building steps from the iconic River Walk. The empty street says it all. Usually filled with a mix of locals, office workers, kiddos, grannies, dogs, bikes, tourists, and many smiling hospitality industry people. Everyone just loves my Lemon Paprika Cornish Game Hens. They are easy to prepare and super flavorful. Here, I served them with Bacon Braised Brussel Sprouts. Soooooo delish!!!

Ceslie's Texas Charred Caesar Salad

Ever char your Romaine as a delicious salad or side dish? I love it! Here's my Hill Country Caesar recipe: split down the middle and leave the end on then remove after grilling. I marinate in Olive oil, honey, lime, Balsamic vinegar poured directly into the split leaves core side up then carefully flash grill for a few seconds. Use LONG tongs! Sprinkle with coarse black pepper and grated Cotijo Cheese. Add cornbread croutons. ENJOY
