When I heard the work of Danny Aguilar-Posada, I knew instantly he would be perfect. I was looking for that throwback #Spielberg/ #Zemeckis/ #Lucas #orchestra feel, taking inspiration from #JohnWilliams, #AlanSilvestri, and other scores from the 80s era this film would pay homage to. He had a recreation of Hans Zimmer’s score from “Pirates of the Caribbean” and I was blown away he could do that himself. I knew with the wrong score, the movie could be percieved the wrong way — too much parody or too silly. There’s elements we directly bite from (Star Wars, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park homages), but I still wanted it to be it’s own adventure and for these people to seem real, no matter how outlandish they may be. So when I first heard the music for Space-Time, it was beautiful, especially for a film a lot were going to think was “dumb,” but that’s what I was looking for — for the heart of the movie to shine and to be it’s own #adventure. Daniel gave life to the film and is one of the biggest contributions to this film — just listen to the #isolatedscore for this scene as it sets the tone and the call for adventure.
