Do you ever go into a day wondering what will happen, and then you meet someone or talk with someone and BAM! your head explodes with excitement? Just had a first-time Zoom call with a new friend of mine and left that conversation with a head full of ideas and some new clarity about ideas that have been banging around in my noggin' for some time. It is just a reminder to me, and hopefully all of us, to explore new connections, keep an open mind and start a conversation. No text, no email, but a face-to-face or video meeting with someone new. I hope you do so or are doing so, and that your brain becomes as stimulated as mine is today.

I've been posting on FilltheFunnel blog for 18 years now - wow! That is a lot of ideas, tools and observations captured. Always run it all on the WordPress platform.

One of my key learnings over the years is that tech always changes and never be blindly committed to one tool or platform.

After almost a year of exploring and testing what platform technologies are out there that might be faster, fresher, more capable than WordPress, I have made the decision to move everything over to a new platform.

It will take me all summer to get everything moved, but it will hopefully give me an opportunity to establish a platform for my work for another 18 years.

If you are interested in these kind of things, and the platform I am moving to, check out my most recent post to learn more.

Choosing a platform to build your online business on can be a difficult decision. Systeme.io is winning entrepreneurs and marketers over. Learn why.

If you're over 60 and looking to make some extra money, there are numerous creative and accessible ways to supplement your income. Here are some varied options that cater to different interests and capabilities:

Freelancing: Leveraging your professional expertise or hobbies can be a lucrative way to make money. Whether you're skilled in writing, consulting, graphic design, or another field, freelancing platforms like Upwork and LinkedIn offer opportunities to take on projects that suit your skills and schedule. This not only provides income but also keeps you engaged with your professional skills during retirement.

Tutoring: If you have expertise in a specific academic area or practical skill, online tutoring can be a rewarding way to earn money. Platforms like Chegg connect you with students looking for help in subjects you know well. This is not only financially beneficial but also intellectually stimulating and offers the chance to make a positive impact on students' lives.

Pet Sitting and House Sitting: For those who love animals, pet sitting can be a great way to enjoy companionship without the long-term commitment of owning a pet. Trustedhousesitters is one such platform that combines pet sitting with house sitting, often in different parts of the world, allowing you to explore new locations while earning money. It's an excellent option for seeing new places and enjoying the comfort of a home environment.

Selling Online: The internet offers various platforms to sell products. Etsy is ideal for those who are crafty and looking to sell handmade goods, while eBay serves well for selling a wide range of items, including collectibles and vintage goods. Decluttr is useful for selling old electronics, books, and DVDs, making it easy to declutter while making money.

Part-time Jobs: Many retirees opt for part-time jobs as a way to stay active and supplement their income. This could include seasonal retail jobs, roles in tourism such as working at local attractions, or even driving for ride-sharing apps. These jobs typically offer flexible hours and the opportunity to interact with a variety of people.

Renting Out Space: If you have extra space at home, such as a spare room, garage, or even a parking spot, you can make money by renting it out. Airbnb allows you to rent out spare rooms or properties to travelers, which can provide a substantial income and the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. Similarly, platforms like JustPark and Neighbor allow you to rent out parking spaces or storage space, providing a steady income stream with little effort.

Mystery Shopping: Becoming a mystery shopper can be an enjoyable way to make money. Companies hire mystery shoppers to evaluate their stores and services. This role involves visiting businesses to assess customer service, store cleanliness, and product quality while getting paid for your feedback. It's a fun way to earn money while helping companies improve their customer experience.

Each of these methods offers unique benefits and can be tailored to fit your lifestyle and interests, making them excellent choices for enhancing your retirement income.

One of the topics that inevitably comes up in conversations with friends over the last few years revolves around retirement and how we are going to be spending our time and if we are going to want or need to generate some additional income.

I discovered that after a year of sleeping in, playing golf and fishing I was getting bored and a bit restless. I needed something that I could invest my time into, but not become tied down with scheduled hours or a boss. I just wanted something to focus on that I already had an interest in that could also generate some income for fun projects.

I stumbled upon affiliate marketing a few years back, and let me tell you, it's been a blast.

The best part?

You don't need to own any products, deal with inventory, or handle customer service. It's a dream come true for someone like me who values freedom and flexibility. You can spend a few hours a week, or completely walk away for a couple months like I did last year. But when you do come back you can pick up right where you left off.

That's why I'm super excited to share this with you.

One of the people that introduced me to this world, Neil Napier is hosting a live workshop all about unleashing the power of AI for profitable affiliate income. I have done very well by following his guidance over the last few years with this, and think you would benefit also. There is a lot of hype in this segment about making a lot of income. My advice is IGNORE it. My question to you is what would you do to bring in $200 or more every month. Mine feeds my vacation fund. And you can make a lot more if you spend more time and effort.

⇒ You can register for the live workshop here! https://fillthefunnel.com/go/affwebinar

Imagine having a system that does all the heavy lifting for you, allowing you to sit back and watch the commissions roll in!

I've seen firsthand how AI can transform your affiliate marketing efforts, and trust me, it's a game-changer.

So, why not join Neil and I and countless others on Tuesday March 19th at 10 AM EST for the reveal of his new AI app.

You might not have an interest in this, at least now, but if you have a curious mind, I think you will enjoy this, or maybe even point someone you know in this direction.

I always enjoyed listening to Andy Rooney. Here are some thoughts attributed to him:

I've learned...
That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

I've learned.... That when you're in love, it shows.

I've learned .... That just one person saying to me, 'You've made my day!' makes my day.

I've learned....
That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.

I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being right.
I've learned.... That you should never say no to a gift from a child.

I've learned....
That I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in any other way.

I've learned.... That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.

I've learned.... That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand.

I've learned....
That simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.

I've learned.... That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

I've learned....
That money doesn't buy class.

I've learned...
That it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.

I've learned...
That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.

I've learned....
That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I've learned....
That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.

I've learned.... That love, not time, heals all wounds.

I've learned...
That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.

I've learned....
That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.

I've learned....
That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.

I've learned... That life is tough, but I'm tougher.

I've learned....
That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss.

I've learned.... That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

I've learned.... That I wish I could have told my Mom that I love her one more time before she passed away.

I've learned.... That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.

I've learned.... That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

I've learned.... That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little fist, you're hooked for life.

I've learned.... That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.

I've learned.... That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

Kickin' around an idea that came my way earlier today when talking about setting up an e-commerce store for someone and I thought I would ask your opinion...
If you want to stick a toe in the water of an online store or have a single product that you would like to sell online would you consider having one built out for you that you could just rent on a monthly basis? I'd love to hear your thoughts in comments below.

Federal Reserve says get ready for the FREELANCE BOOM!

Well, I don't know if that's true. But this chart from The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis did catch my eye.

Because the "quit rate" -- the number of people quitting their jobs -- just hit a record high!

In August, 4.3 million people turned in resignation letters to their bosses. Which is kind of nuts. In the report, they said, "People tend to not quit during times of distress."

Instead, they believe the reasons people are quitting are because:
• skilled workers have leverage over companies
• there are more opportunities and more options than ever before
• and people want to work on more flexible terms
