MEET THE FASHION COORDINATOR- Latoya Pollard King

LaToya is a native of Columbus, Georgia where she was born and raised. LaToya is the wife of Scott King, Sr, mother of 3, and grandmother of 7. She has been happily married for 16 years. She is a Columbus High School alumnus.

LaToya has extensive experience in retail management where she has developed strong business relationships with many community leaders, influencers, and public figures in the surrounding areas. Being in a management position for 29 yrs. she has gained tons of knowledge. LaToya is often recognized for her service, leadership, and expert advice. She's passionate about helping people during significant times in their lives which in most
cases she has developed lasting relationships with.

MEET THE ADVISOR OF Pearls Leadership Academy and MAKEUP ARTIST

Melissa Lewis was born and raised in Phenix City, AL. She is a devoted wife and mother of two beautiful daughters, Aidyn and Aubrey.

Melissa received her Bachelor's in Public Health from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa in 2017. She is currently obtaining her Master's degree in Social Work at Troy University to become a child therapist.

Melissa serves as Pearl's Leadership Academy Advisor and Leadership Committee and the Mt. Olive Sunderland Fire Department Women's Auxillary President.

MEET THE DANCE CHOREOGRAPHER- Cailyn Sparks

Cailyn Sparks is a native of Phenix City, AL. Cailyn graduated from Central High School in 2017. Upon graduating high school, she furthered her education at Tennessee State University. Cailyn majored in Elementary Education and minored in dance. Cailyn has started her career as a Kindergarten teacher and Dance Pom Coach for Opelika City Schools and Center Stage Dance Studio. Cailyn has competed at the collegiate and national level for dance. She has spent many years in the dance industry in various roles including; contestant, coach, and emcee. While in college, Cailyn was a member of the two time Grammy Winning Aristocrat of Bands Sophisticated Ladies dance line. This allowed her the opportunity to; perform for NFL and NBA games, Rose Bowl Parade, Music Videos, and countless other opportunities to share her love of dance. As a mentor to the youth, she shares her experience and knowledge with girls who have the desire to reach their full potential. Seeing her students succeed is what gives her the satisfaction of making a difference with the lives she impacts each and every day!

Sabra Moore Strickland received her MSN in nursing from Troy University and is currently working as a Medical Surgical Nurse in Piedmont Healthcare. Had been a nurse for 27 years. Married to Willie Strickland for 32 years and have one daughter, Tanetra Strickland (Rodney). Currently the 2nd VP of the Columbus (GA) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Served as Primary Advisor for the Theta Phi Chapter of DST. Loves reading, traveling and sewing.

MEET THE CEO AND FOUNDER
Cicely Dixon Abron

Cicely Dixon Abron is a native of Phenix City, Alabama and has been serving her community for decades. She is very humble and loves to support her community without hesitation. She is a selfless servant always willing to help others become successful. She is a beacon of light that will continue to shine within our community.

Cicely Abron has been a faithful and devoted educator for 21 years. She is dedicated and committed to the vision of supporting all students. She is also the CEO and founder of E3 Enrichment Services. This enrichment program started in 2013 and has served over 1,000 students in the bi-city area. The program has added these additional services for the community: 1) E3 Mentoring, 2) The Empowerment Magazine, 3) The Shedrick Dixon Educational Foundation, 4) The PEARLS Leadership Academy, 5) E3 Empowerment Trips, 6) E3 Consulting and 7) Women’s Table Talk.

She is a 1999 graduate from Alabama A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and a Masters of Science in Computer Science. She continued her education at Alabama State University with a Masters of Science in Mathematics Education and in July 2015, she completed a Masters of Education in Instructional Leadership and Educational Administration at Troy University.

Ms. Abron is dedicated to her community with the annual Simply Blessed Thanksgiving Food and Community Resource Drive, member of the Phenix City Alabama A&M Alumni Association, Girls Scouts Regional Advisory Board Member, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Unity Celebration committee member, Coordinator for the Shedrick Dixon Educational Foundation Summer Football and Dance Camp, Academic Advisor for Diamond Sports Group and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
