HERE’S HOW A TYPICAL WEEKEND AT AN F1 GRAND PRIX LOOKS LIKE 🏎💨
We had been to the F1 season opener at the Bahrain GP 2023 and it was such a blast! 😍
We had one of the most unique experiences of our lives and if you are planning to go for a F1 Grand Prix, here’s how it may look like for you (albeit there may be some changes at each race).
Thursday (Pit-lane walk)
This is probably the only time you get to be on the actual track and it is a sight to watch! You get to see the team garages, the engineers and mechanics, practice pit stops, and maybe even an appearance from the driver. It makes you realise the scale of operations of these F1 teams.
Friday (Free Practice 1 and 2)
The first day of an F1 weekend is always a busy one. We arrived at the Bahrain International Circuit early in the morning to get a good spot for the practice sessions. And when you see the cars zoom by for the first time, you are truly in awe of the sport! There are also some team principals and drivers meet-and-greets, so don’t miss them!
Saturday (Free Practice 3 and Qualification)
Saturday is the day of qualifying, and the atmosphere at the circuit was electric. We again went early for the driver meet-and-greets because some of our favourite drivers were up there! After some practice sessions, the fans are treated to the main spectacle of qualifications.
Sunday (Race)
The big day had finally arrived. We again went early for the drivers’ parade and the pre-race ceremonies. And as we settled in for the race, it was one hell of an experience being there with such a passionate group of fans. It was every bit of fun and thrilling.
Overall, it was an amazing experience to attend the Bahrain Grand Prix. The atmosphere was electric, the racing was exciting, and we got to see some of the best drivers in the world up close. GOING FOR AN F1 RACE WEEKEND IS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY FUN 😍
Since Netflix started Drive To Survive, there has been a surge in viewership and overall interest in Formula 1, and it's gotten us as well! And if you are like us, you should attend atleast one race in your life!
Even though the tickets can be expensive, there are certain things that will make it totally worth your time and money. The broadcast just does not do justice to how fast the cars go. And the events throughout the weekends along with the driver meet-ups are just a cherry on top!
P.S.: We suggest you go for all 3 days for your first Grand Prix and attend the events around the practice, qualification and race as well to make the most out of your experience.

Ignite the Valentine within you at Arte 66, a Parisian style restaurant and bar on the 66th floor of @artebythomaschan and it has to be one of the most elegant places we have come across! With intrinsic paintings, French furnishings, perfect lighting and brilliant architecture, this is a dream come true for every romantic! And while we can vouch for the vegetarian 4-course meals here, I'm sure their default non-vegetarian options must be pretty good as well!
We also stayed at the same hotel during our time in Kuala Lumpur and there's just one thing we have to say for their rooms: WOW! With a similar Parisian vibe to their rooms and all the areas leading up to it along with top-notch hospitality and service, they make you live that French dream that we have all imagined.

Finally after over a year of anxiety, negativity, being home-bound, planning a wedding during the lockdown and making it through the pandemic, we get to do one of the most relaxing things in a long while - a couple's spa massage at @radissonblualibaug! Know more about our time there in this reel!
PS: We were completely relaxed physically and mentally after the spa, but we recommend keeping a free schedule for atleast a couple of hours after the massage and invest that time in yourself. Also, the cherry on the cake was that they followed all the necessary precautions required during the entire process!
