A fiction inspired by truse stories directed by Massoud Bakhshi, YALDA, A NIGHT FOR FORGIVENESS will have its world premiere in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at the Sundance Film Festival (January 23 – February 2)!
The film follows the story of Maryam, who accidentally kills her husband Nasser and is sentenced to death. The only person who can save her is Mona, Nasser's daughter. All Mona has to do is appear on a TV show and forgive Maryam. But forgiveness proves difficult when they are forced to relive the past.

"Empire Hotel" (Hotel Império) by Portuguese filmmaker Ivo M. Ferreira tells the story of disillusioned dreams, greed and decadence at the Empire Hotel within the traditional neighborhoods of Macao.

Wanuri Kahiu's "Rafiki" was the top performing film in Kenya for the week it was unbanned ending Saturday, September 29th.
It became the second highest grossing Kenyan film of all time even though it only had a seven day, court-authorized, theatrical run in three Kenyan cities.
Although the film is once again banned in Kenya. The filmmakers are in the process of further court action to have the film permanently unbanned.
It is currently in cinemas across France and Belgium to be followed by theatrical releases in USA, Japan, Switzerland, Holland, Scandinavia, South Africa and has been invited to screen in at least six other African countries.
