As the title suggests, the album is a country music tribute to Tom lovingly curated by some of his closest friends and collaborators. Happy birthday Waylon Jennings
Jennings had worked as a DJ and as a musician, was hired by Buddy Holly to tour with him.
Since the tour bus was having issues, Holly hired a small plane to take the band ahead.
However, Jennings gave up his seat to the Big Bopper, who was sick, and he got on the bus.
Later, that small plane crashed in a field, killing Holly, The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens.
In 1976 he released the album Wanted! The Outlaws with Willie Nelson, Tompall Glaser and Jessi Colter, which became the first platinum country music album, and he was also a member of the country supergroup The Highwaymen with Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Johnny Cash. Jennings, who died on 13th February 13, 2002, was also the narrator for the TV show the Dukes of Hazzard.
