The Rangerettes returned to one of their favorite locations - the State Fair of Texas. The sophomores (78th Line) spent the afternoon exploring the fair, later changing into red, white & blue to perform their tribute to the great state of Texas as a part of the opening day ceremony.

The second home game was a little damp as Kilgore took on NE Oklahoma A&M. The Rangerettes performed their high kick and streamer jazz routines during halftime. Kilgore won 31 to 24.

The season opener for the Kilgore Rangers vs. Tyler JC Apaches took place at Lindale High School Eagle Stadium due to renovations underway at Tyler Rose Stadium. The 78th Line Sophomore Rangerettes took the field at halftime and performed their new streamer jazz routine. Kilgore won the game 42 to 10.

On August 17, 2018, the 78th & 79th Lines kicked off the new year at Show Offs. The Freshmen were introduced and then performed the new kick routine followed by the Sophomores who performed the new kick and streamer jazz routines. All 16 of the 79th Line officer candidates from the 78th Line strutted their hearts out and the new officers were announced! Congrats to new 2018-2019 Officers!

Right Middle Lieutenant – Sara Aguillard (Mont Belvieu),
Left Middle Lieutenant – Kelsey Little (Abilene),
Left End Lieutenant – Ryan Wayne (Kilgore)
and in the center, the Captain, Cierra Birmingham (Leander).

On the morning of Friday, July 13, 2018, the Kilgore College Rangerettes announced the 79th Line at Sign Drop. Hopefuls vied for a coveted position during the week long pre-training. The new Rangerettes will join 36 sophomores to make a team of 72. Congratulations!
