• M6 Driver (Came out in 2019)

• TSR2 5 Hybrid !

• P7TW irons with iron covers and non Tour Issue S300’s (TI model is weight sorted for tighter build tolerances)

It’s been a while and I’ve been getting asked a decent amount, so here’s an updated look at my current WITB!

Still a work in progress as I progress through swing changes/new equipment comes out, but this has been a really solid bag for me thus far.

That said, I do think there will be some decent sized changes over the next few months and I’ll try my best to keep you guys updated.

🚨NEWS: Received some clarification on Scottie’s driver and re-posting to fix what I got wrong yesterday.

Most people know that Scottie Scheffler games a Taylormade Qi10 Core model driver, but there’s a bit more nuance to it than what meets the
eye...

What’s different:

Scottie games the Qi10 Core “Dot” model. The dot (above/to the right of the loft) signifies a different internal structure/design compared to the normal core.
From my understanding this head is a lower spinning and more right biased version of the normal core, but retains higher MOl compared to the LS model.

Additionally Scottie actually uses a custom, lighter blue face on his Qi10. Now while the face itself is from a Qi10, the design graphics on the face are reminiscent of the Stealth 2 and my speculation is the royal blue color allows him to see a bit more of the face/loft at address compared to the navy.

*Note: The “Dot” head is listed as Qi10 Version 2 on the
USGA Conforming list.

Any thoughts on Scottie’s Custom Qi10?

🚨BREAKING: Taylormade has officially launched their latest P7CB & P770 Irons.
-
Things to know:

P7CB - Has two milled out cavities in the sole that are filled with tungsten and a “Metal Matrix Composite” material (low density steel); This allows TM to free up mass, which is then pushed to the perimeter for added forgiveness.

P770 - The focus with this new 770 is on refined shaping, better turf interaction and a major improvement in feel over the previous generation. Additionally, these irons feature TM’s “FLTD CG” through the set.

Both irons come stock with Dynamic Gold Mid 115 shafts, Golf Pride Z-Grips and will retail for $1399.99 USD.

Some interesting equipment stories over the last couple of weeks and into The Open…

• Tiger Woods has switched into a Qi10 LS 9° (@ +0.75° Loft/3.5° Upright Lie) from a 10.5° head.

• Brooks Koepka has switched back to his trusty Scotty Cameron TNP2 Buttonback.

• Collin Morikawa has switched into a full set of Taylormade P7CB irons (4-PW) and a P790 3i w/Project HZRDUS Black Gen 4 105TX.

• Adam Scott has switched into a new Titleist GT2 Driver (10°), GT2 3 Wood, T200 Utilities (2i/3i) & is back to his Miura AS-1 irons. Shafts are Mitsubishi WB 63TX, 73TX & MMT 90TX Hybrid.

• Tommy Fleetwood has switched into a Taylormade P7CB 3i (Proto badging).

• Cameron Smith has switched into the new Titleist GT3 driver (A1 setting).

Luke Clanton just became a the first Amateur since 1958 to record back-to-back Top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour and his WITB is absolutely incredible.

I personally love the two driver setup; With the TSR2 8° being a rocket launcher and BRNR Mini being an easier to draw teeing option.

From there we see both a 2i and 3i (!) to cover even more long game shots.

Frankie Capan shot 58 on the yesterday using a wild 1/1 Scotty Cameron Newport 2 GSS Circle T.

The head originally had a slant neck and was cut, machined down, then re-welded on by a friend (not Scotty) to achieve no shaft offset at address.

What do you think of this look? Would you game a no-offset plumbers neck?

🚨NEWS: Taylormade has just introduced a new “TP Black Series” putter lineup.
-
This new line features 6 shapes (3 blades, 3 mallets), TM’s Pure Roll insert, a KBS Putter Shaft + Lamkin Sink Fit grip all for less than $200. Additionally, TM says this finish is made to be “durable” and throws in a premium putter cover to finish it off.

I have been able to roll these a bit, and imo, they are a very solid product for the price point. But, I am curious to hear what you guys think.

🚨BREAKING: Toulon Golf has officially launched their latest “24” collection of putters.
-
This new lineup features 8 different head styles (4 blades: San Diego, Madison, Austin, NYC & 4 mallets: Las Vegas, Memphis, Atlanta, Alcatraz), with 5 necks (plumbers, long plumbers, short slant, flow & double-bend); All models are finished in a stunning, rose gold color-way with a light face mill.

I’ve had these in-hand for a week or so now and they are genuinely incredible. The shaping is pristine on all models, the finish looks ridiculously cool and the new weighting system adds a touch of modern-class to finish off, what is imo, one of the best “stock” putter lineups to date.

🚨BREAKING: A new Kirkland Signature KS2 mallet putter has been spotted.

It’s unknown whether this will replace or be added in addition to the KS1 model, but the KS2 will feature a single-bend shaft, adjustable weights and likely a SuperStroke grip as well.

Congrats to Hideki Matsuyama on his win at the 2024 Genesis Invitational! Here’s a good look at his winning WITB from the event.

Not a ton has shifted here for Hideki, but there are a couple things that stand out:

1.) Continues to play very heavy Tour AD DI’s throughout his woods.

2.) Just recently added in a Taylormade Qi10 3-Wood.

3.) Gaming a a prototype variant of the Z-Forged II Iron (his model has a higher muscle pad).

4.) Gaming “Japan-only” RTX-4 Forged wedges.

5.) Lastly, Hideki has gone back to his old faithful, “Ace” Scotty Cameron Timeless.

🚨 NEWS: Taylormade has officially launched their latest 2024 TP5 line of golf balls, adding to an extremely busy month of February for the company.

This week TM also announced their latest apparel line with Tiger Woods called, “Sun Day Red” which launches May 1, 2024. The new line will include tops, bottoms, accessories and shoes as well (Tiger was spotted wearing 2 prototypes of the shoes this week at the Genesis Invitational).

Additionally, Taylormade has also brought their latest lineup of Qi10 woods to market and they are now available in-store.

Congrats to Nick Taylor on his incredible win at the 2024 WM Phoenix Open! Here’s a nice look at his winning WITB 🏆

Taylor has a pretty unique setup in that he uses a Dr, 3W, 5W and also a 4 hybrid before getting to his actual 4 iron; From there, Taylor is then forced to drop a wedge and go with bigger gaps in that of: 47°, 53° & 59° wedges.

Additionally, this is another great example of playing what works vs. just the newest stuff. He’s got a driver/3W/5W from 2021, wedges from 2020 & a putter from 2016.

Here’s a look at 4 WILD custom Scotty Cameron’s spotted on tour over the last couple of weeks.
-
1.) Hideki Matsuyama HC Proto: This model appears to follow the straighter design elements of the Timeless 2 that he’s played on/off for years; But what is really interesting about this head is the placement of weights in the face. My guess is he’s likely trying to push CG very far forward for feels purposes.
-
2.) Tyler Duncan Phantom X8 Proto: Pretty nifty phantom design here, keeping the top to one, simple color with alignment dots vs. a line.
-
3.) Ben Baller 24K Gold TT Newport: I think this one pretty much speaks for itself.
-
4.) Zac Blair HC Craftsman Proto: Welded flow neck + a bullet sole = a simply an insane 1/1 here, but not really a huge surprise given that ZB always has some sick customs. That said, I can’t imagine trying to line this thing up in the Phoenix sun 🫣.

🚨BREAKING: Bryson DeChambeau has been spotted testing a set of Avoda Golf prototype irons at the LIV Golf event this week.

These protos look to be a hollow-bodied style design with Brysons logo etched on the toe; And while there isn’t a ton of info on Avoda Golf currently, it appears they focus on a “variable one-length” deign with their irons. (The short irons are one-length & the long irons move into a variable length design).

🚨NEWS: Adam Scott was spotted testing THREE different iron sets in preparation for at the AT&T Pro-Am this week; Which prompted me to go back and try to find all the irons he’s used over the past few years.

Now, I likely missed something, but found 11 different iron variants (not counting driving irons or other stuff he likely tested at home).

My New Vokey wedges just arrived and imo they turned out absolutely incredible! - I live more on the shallow side of attack angle, so I went with a mid/lower bounce 50°, mid-ish bounce 54° (with some relief for versatility) and the low bounce/crazy versatile T-Grind in my 60°. I haven’t played a speciality 46° in a long time, so it will be interesting to see how it compares to a set PW! - What do you guys think of these? What would your ideal Vokey wedge set & finish/customization/specs look like?

Here’s an up-close look at possibly the most hyped putter of 2024, the L.A.B. Golf DF-3! - Imo this is a massive improvement in looks over the original DF2.1, yet retains a very similar amount of forgiveness; And with Phil Mickelson already putting one in play, I think we will see a lot more of these in tour bags over the next 12-18 months. - What do you guys think of the DF-3? Taylormade has officially launched their latest BRNR Mini-Driver Copper for 2024. - The overall design of this head is quite similar to the original BRNR Mini, but with more copper accents and a matte crown. Additionally, they added in a retro Golf Pride “Swing Rite” grip to finish off the build. - Personally, I really like the new design but I’m curious to hear your guys’ thoughts. What do you think about this new BRNR Mini? Do you prefer this one or the original?
