As the semester comes to a close, it is time for me to depart W&J and WNJR. I wanted to take a moment to reflect on my time here at the station, hosting Kickin' It Country, and thank each and every one of you. Coming in to college, I never thought I'd find a home at our little educational FM station, but I did. It helped me to find my voice and gave me a platform to let my voice be heard. It helped me to discover my future career, and even inspired me to head off to graduate school in the fall. I helped to rebrand the station and found myself and my calling in the process.

A special thank you to Professor Cameron, Greg, and Dr. Maradin for never giving up on making me the best radio host I could be! You recognized my passion and met it with a dedication for teaching and an equal passion for radio. I thank you for that.

To the artists, thank you for letting me play your music. And thank you to each and everyone one of you who I interviewed. You gave me a peek into your life, gave me excellent advice, and have helped to pave my path. I admire all of you and consider you friends and mentors. I can't wait to see everything you all accomplish, and just know, you'll have a life long fan here, cheering you on.

And to the listeners, I can't thank you enough. WNJR gave me a voice and y'all made sure it was heard. You followed me from Fridays to Mondays and back again and back yet again. You've given me feedback and helped me to grow. I'm so glad to be surrounded by people with the same fire burning inside of them for country music.

Although this closes a chapter, I'm looking for another door to open. I promise this won't be the end of Kickin' It Country, even if we come back as a podcast or blog. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for 3 1/2 incredible years. This truly changed my life.
