The new Balance 482 is turning heads and has been nominated for three prestigious boat and multihull awards! We are proud to be the rig designer and manufacturer for the Balance Catamarans Range.
Sparcraft Masts designed and manufactured the mast, boom, standing and running rigging and components package: crossbeam, double longeron with integrated anchor launch system, boarding ladders, steering idlers and quadrants, stantions and pulpits (anodised black), TV brackets and other components. We also supplied and fitted the Profurl jib and Facnor screecher furlers.
Built by Balance Catamarans Cape Town and designed by Du Toit Yacht Design , she is built for speed and comfort. With wave piercing bows, foam core hulls, decks and furniture, carbon reinforced, she offers incomparable performance and stunning design.

Staples Productions

I’ve had an extremely fortunate life through my career of Professional Surfing, and travelled this world more in the last few years than most people will in their entire lives. And through my travels and experiences and seeing the world from the ocean, I have discovered a love for my country stronger than ever before. With a country so vast and filled with endless beauty, it made becoming an aerial photographer easy. I’m lucky enough to have a brother (Dane Staples) that comes from an extensive filming background who’s taught me a little of what I know, and from there it became more than a job, it became my other passion. I think the fact that my two passions and ways of life go so hand in hand, has allowed me to truly capture more of the country than I expected, and fall even more in love with the art of Drone photography and filming. I can only hope that with my photographs and films, I can create a piece of art for every person’s home or every person’s life, that will spread the beauty that the world has to offer.
