SET YOUR CALENDARS!!!!! All day vendors, and fun at Hickory Pick'N and we end the night with FREE concerts from the very talented cast of Losing Hope: Finding Grace. Then we will show the movie FREE and host a meet and greet, and Q&A’s afterwards with the entire cast and crew of Losing Hope : Finding Grace.
This event is May 18th, vendor and fun starts at 10:00 AM, and concert/movie ceremonies start at 5:30
There will be a short message attached by Bro. Danny that associates our life with what’s in this movie.
ITS 100% FREE to attend, but we will take up a love offering for those wanting to give to this media ministry. We will also have merch to purchase and get autographs from cast and crew. Or your favorite characters.

A LOT of great feedback from our first premiere, and we had so many people say they didn’t make it, SO HERES YOU CHANCE TO WATCH Losing Hope: Finding Grace AGAIN. This will be an all day event for the family at Hickory Pick'N. Indoor and outdoor vendors , and food truck from 10-5. Live concerts prior to the movie being shown from Dustin Pounders Music, Emily White, Daniel Houze, Joe Cumberland and Erica Green. Then the movie will be shown on a big projector at 7:00 PM with a meet and greet and Q&A session with cast and crew to follow. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS, SO SAVE THE DATE, SHARE SHARE SHARE AND HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE.

48 hour CASH PRIZE film festival itenerary:
(LONG POST, BUT EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YOU READ EVERYTHING. THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT EVENT AND FUN TIMES).

Dates are in final stages of being set in stone and I’ll update everyone, but WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING CREWS INTERESTED IN SUBMITTING TEAMS:

***FRIDAY 5PM:
we’d all meet at the Temple Theater BallRoom. (Everyone on the judging panel), and all the teams (casts and crews.)

That will be a quick production meeting where I give out the rules, and tell everyone what’s expected, and give everyone a prop that they will have to include in the film. Here you will submit an official roster of your cast and crew. I know a lot of the same people work with each other. And that’s fine, BUT you will be biting off more than you can chew if teams team up and do three movies you are putting your film in jeopardy of not being able to be completed. And will only be hurting your self. Ideally, no one should be on more than one roster, BUT you can if you think you can swing it. HOWEVER there is NO IN ASSOCIATION WITH PRODUCTIONS. Theres only one director , and one DOP per film. (You can only be on ONE roster as a director, and only ONE roster as a DOP these are the only exceptions to sharing rosters) Everyone on your roster will get into the festival free.

Then we dismiss everyone. All the teams go out into the city and film there short film. They stay up all weekend with naps here and there (or sleep in rotations) to ensure everything is filmed and edited on time for the submission deadline on Sunday.

***SUNDAY 4:00:
SUBMISSION DEADLINE!!! All films no matter how it’s filmed will HAVE to be transferred to a hard drive. That hard drive MUST BE IN THE JUDGES HANDS (the front entrance door of the temple theater) BY 4:00PM. 4:01 is a late entry and you will have a 20 point deduction. There will be NO, films accepted after 4:15, and if you fail to submit a film you will not be reimbursed for your entry fee.

***SUNDAY 4:30:
Festival ceremonies begin. (DOORS OPEN AT 3:45 to general public) We will sell general admission tickets for the general public to come in and view your film and there will also be a FULL CONCESSION STAND.

***SUNDAY (as soon as last film is shown):
AWARD CEREMONY BEGINS!!!! There will be two brackets:
*Bracket A- more professional independent production companies. Higher entry fee, but 1st place gets BIG CASH PRIZE percentage of event. 2nd and 3rd place will get bigger trophies. (You can be a novice and enter this if you’d like )
*Bracket B- is novice teams who just want to get involved. Maybe you’re starting out, and don’t have a lot of help. Maybe you just have a cell phone to record on. Thats fine. Here’s you opportunity to get started. This comes with a lower entry fee, and 1st-3rd get smaller trophies or plagues. (You can be a more established production company and enter this also)

The point scale makes it possible for literally ANYONE to win there bracket if they do a great job with what they had. The biblical truth section of the festival is of the most importance. You will not be docked for not making it a full gospel movie. You can literally have one sentence that pints people to Jesus in the whole film, and still get 25/25 points. BUT the aspect of this voting scale is that on the fact of how you use that sentence. If you highlight sin I. The film you’ll probably recieve 0/25. So if you have an adulterous themed film or highlight any sin with it eventually being overcome through Jesus that’s fine, but if you leave the audience thinking it’s okay that will result in 0/25. I just used adultery, as an example this goes for any biblical truth.

Your film can’t involve any nudity. It has to be pg or pg-13 We will hopefully have a bunch of churches invited, and kids there also.

We grade each film as folllows:
1- Biblical truth: 0/25
2- video quality : 0/15
3- sound quality: 0/10
4- acting abilities: 0/5
5- story: 0/15
6- effort: 0/20
7- usage of prop: 0/5
8- overall script: 0/5

So for the festival it’s a short film. Any genre is ok, documentary, entertainment, comedy, romance, etc. it just has to be God related and biblically sound. If you film something that highlights sin, or goes another direction that falls in the scoring category of (BIBLICAL TRUTH) . It has to be 1-15 minutes long.

Anyone can enter. From a beginner with a cell phone, or a professional with thousands of dollars in equipment. The scoring scale makes it literally possible for ANYONE to win the big cash prize pot at the end. 😊

In getting a team together. All you really need is you and a smart phone. You write the script, and get the actors to fill the roles you need. You can edit on I movie, and then submit your work at the deadline and everyone will see your work. 😊

WHO’S INTERESTED IN A 48 HOUR CHRISTIAN FILM FESTIVAL with CASH PRIZES:
I will be partnering with The Temple Theater, and hosting a 48 hour film festival. You can have the script already written, BUT it has to have a Christian theme to it. It doesn’t have to necessarily be full gospel, but it is a CHRISTIAN film festival, so it has to have a point to it that points people to Jesus. And the judge percentage on Biblical truth will be applied to the entire movie. If you use something thats not biblically correct, it will affect your points. I’m still working on all the details.
It will be an entry fee, and the winner will receive a good cash prize. 2nd and 3rd place prizes will receive something also. Details to come, but looking around June (ish).
I just wanted to get the word out and if you’re a director/production company and are interested please pm me (Danny Todd) your phone number and name, and I’ll update as info is available.
THERE CAN BE NO (IN ASSOCIATION WITH films). There can only be one director, and or production company per submission.
You can film on production equipment or smart phone
We will meet on that Friday for the production meeting, and then the deadline to turn in usb or hardrive will be on Sunday at a certain time.
All the films will be shown to the public in attendance, and the panel of judges will pick a winner.
1-15 time frame. Whatever you think you can pull off.

Would appreciate y’all’s prayers , here’s an update regarding the future of Rydan Media:

At the begining of last year Ryan Hanner stepped down from his role of being co owner. He 100% did the right thing verses what was happening in his life. He got everything situated and wanted to come back, but he received an amazing job opportunity and decided to stay out and concentrate on his job and family.
This started a war in my mind. I’ve debated selling everything, and give up the hustle and bustle attached to projects that are extremely time consuming, filming is the easy part. Setting up shots, planning details, aligning schedules, moving &setting up and breaking down equipment, and EDITING is the part that’s toughest.
I’ve been praying for quite some time now on exactly what I should do. I’ve spoke with the leaders and admin of our church (SONshine Ministries), I’ve reached out to other like minded friends about replacing Ryan, but still being open minded as to what would happen.
The Kendrick Brothers are HUGE inspirations to both me and Ryan. And they started and still operate as a church media ministry.
So after about a year worth of praying I’ve came to the decision to change the name to (SONshine Media) and operate 100% through our church as a media ministry.
This will open up A LOT of benefits for tax exempt donations to obtain for projects, as well as make an extra avenue source of income for the church, all while having our congregation be involved as helping hands, and giving them an opportunity to be involved with a ministry that would be reached all over the world.
I’ve worked really hard with growing all social medias attached to RYDAN MEDIA LLC. so I’ll need everyone who follows to please follow updates as to how you can follow and support our future change.

Thank you brother for going all in with me. At the time I was entertaining a few business partners in who to pursue this ministry with. You was my best friend at the time, a phenomenal actor, and was hungry to share God and Jesus with the world. It was an amazing ride and I’m very thankful for the time we had with each other. Love ya dude.

I’ll be partnering with Mike Rice to document him bringing Rare of Breed to the youth, adults, and kids in our area. Mike is a man of God who felt called to make this happen no matter what he financially lost on the event out of his own pocket. He’s had some great people donate, but he’s still a long way out from breaking even. When I owned and ran Sports Ministries we were RIDDLED with loving Christian people and businesses who selflessly sacrificed things to make our events happen, so it’s with great honor that I forgo the fee of making a documentary for this event and be able to repay that favor. I’m honored God blessed me with the capabilities to comprehend and learn from self teachings in the industry and I now can use that to better the kingdom. Understand making movies IS HARD, and it takes A LOT of time, so I can’t do this for everyone, but if God calls me to do it then I’ll do it as much as I can.

I can feel the tears coming. TWO AND A HALF YEARS of filming this awesome movie all came to an end tonight. We have a small b roll footage to shoot one day in the next coming weeks, but WOOOOOO. this cast and crew. Mannnnnn. God did ALL of this. I’m just so honored he chose me to be utilized. I CANT THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH. From the actors, to extras, to crew, to locations, to food, to budgets, Woooooooo. I’m so honored to call each and every person associated with this film my family. RYDAN MEDIA need your help!!!!
We need a bar to film an important scene on the weekend of January 26-28th. The following is the guidelines for which ever day we could land it with your availability .

*Friday 26: really anywhere close in the evening time.
* Saturday 27: it would have to be in Newton County and we’d film during the day.
*Sunday 28: can be anywhere really, and we’d have to film after church (around 1-2PM)

If you know someone that owns or has access to a bar with power PLEASE TAG THEM. We would put your business name in the credits as a thank you and we’d allow any adults you know to be extras in that scene (actually the more the merrier)
