• Today, Namibia mourns the passing of our Founding Father, Dr. Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma, a leader, a freedom fighter and the architect of our independence. His vision, resilience and unwavering commitment to the liberation of our nation will forever be etched in history.

Because of him, we stand as a free and sovereign people. His journey may have ended, but his legacy lives on in every Namibian who dares to dream, to lead and to build a better future.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, children, family, friends and the entire Namibian nation during this time of mourning. May his wisdom continue to guide us, as we remember his powerful words:

“A people united, striving to achieve a common good for all the members of the society, will always emerge victorious.”

As Afterbreak Magazine, we honour his life’s work by continuing to amplify the voices of young Namibians, ensuring that the ideals he fought for: unity, peace and progress, live on through us.
