Threatening India with Seven Sisters sounds very cool. But, we should consider the reality too. The concentration of Indian air power around Bangladesh have both the qualitative and quantitative deterrence over the whole Bangladesh Air Force. The Indian Air Force has four fighter squadrons, an attack helicopter squadron, twelve transport squadrons, and a strategic refueler squadron around our country. For simplicity, we'll just mention the strategically aggressive squadrons here:

1. Squadron 101 "Falcons" operating Dassault Rafale, Air Force Base Hasimara, West Bengal

2. Squadron 2 "Winged Arrows" operating Su-30 MKI, Air Force Base Tezpur, Assam

3. Squadron 106 "Lynx" operating Su-30 MKI, Air Force Base Tezpur, Assam

4. Squadron 102 "Trisonics" operating Su-30 MKI, Air Force Base Chabua, Assam

5. Squadron 137 operating AH-64E Apache, Air Force Base Jorhat, Assam.

The Bangladesh Army has received 11 Tata QRFVs from India. Tata QRFV, also known as Tata MPV and Tata WhAPC, is a 4x4 mine-protected vehicle claimed to have Stanag IV-level mine protection and Level III ballistic protection. It can survive the blast of 14 kg TNT under the hull and 21 kg TNT under the wheels, according to Tata's claim. This vehicle can carry up to 14 people, including the driver and the gunner, and has a 240 HP engine to operate in different terrains.

Bangladesh Air Force has received an AeroMedical Evacuation System (AEMS) with it's fifth and final C-130J Super Hercules recently. This system is used for providing medical care to patients with medium to high dependency during medical evacuation operations. This boosted the humanitarian assistance, disaster relief (HADR) capability of the Air Force.

DGDP has signed a contract yesterday with Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. for building a 800 tons advanced ocean-going tug for Bangladesh Navy. Primary goal of this tug will be towing ships and submarines, assisting them berthing and casting off, and turning them through pushing and pulling. This tug will also be capable of conducting salvage, rescue, and firefighting operations. The contract is worth around $21 million and the tug is expected to be delivered in 2026.

From visual analysis, the torpedo rescued from Rangabali in Patuakhali has a similar appearance to the training version of the Test-71 torpedo made by Russia, which is a variant of the Type-53 torpedo and is used in Kilo class submarines.

Border Guard Bangladesh's RK-3 Corsar ATGM is one of the latest additions to the inventory. Designed and produced by the State Kyiv Design Bureau, its main targets are armored vehicles, tanks, ground-based reconnaissance platforms, and other slow-moving and static targets like enemy trenches and air-based targets. It can be fired from the shoulder, kneeling, or standing positions by a single operator. The system has a range of 2.5 km. It uses a lithium-based battery and can be fired a hundred times without recharge.

Border Guard Bangladesh showcased the Alcotan-100 M2 shoulder-fired anti-tank weapon on BGB Day 2024. Originating in Spain, the Alcotan-100 is a recoilless and one-man portable system. This is a single-use, unguided system where the launching tube isn't reusable after firing. However, the VOSEL firing control unit is reusable and can be used in other launchers. There are several types of munition, including HEAT, anti-bunker, dual-purpose (anti-tank and fragmentation), and multi-purpose, that can be used based on situation and demand.
