ARE YOU AN IB AND AI EXPERT?
We are opening submissions for recent IB grads interested in becoming authors and publishing a new IB guidebook which aims to help new candidates utilize all of the new Al tools at their disposal.
Working title: 'How to Use Al for your IB (and ChatGPT for your EE)'
Chapters could include: how to use Al for IB essay planning; how to use Al to make an IB revision schedule; how to use Al to create new past paper questions; how NOT to use Al (how to avoid academic malpractice); how to use Midjourney for Visual Art inspiration; etc.
Book length; 60-80 pages (regular small book format 5x8 inches), 6-8 chapters
Commission: $700-1000; or percentage of book sales (negotiable)
If you are interested, please submit a cover letter and writing sample to
[email protected]. Cover letter should include your background in the IB and your expertise in academic Al tools; the writing sample should be a section of a potential chapter.

'How long do we have left until the human race goes extinct? The Doomsday Argument uses basic probability theory to give a forecast about how many more humans will exist by factoring in the number of humans that have already existed. Proponents of the argument suggest that it would be improbable for us to find ourselves somewhere near the start of the total existence of humankind.
To this day, the prevailing consensus amongst those actively writing about the DA is that it still remains unrefuted, despite innumerable attempts in the literature to debunk it. This book provides a critical assessment of the use of thought-experiments in DA rebuttals and argues that testing the DA empirically could yield more fruitful results.'

MUDASSIR MEHMOOD is an IBDP Math Examiner, an IA Moderator, and has recently become a member of one of the IB projects as a DP Mathematics Curriculum Reviewer. He has overall 12+ years of experience in teaching various streams, ranging from IBDP/MYP, IGCSE, O/A levels, Edexcel, and SAT.

ALEXANDER ZOUEV completed the IB Diploma Program in 2007 with a total of 43 points including a 7 in HL Mathematics and a perfect IA score. He went on to read Economics and Management at the University of Oxford and thereafter completed his MSc in Financial Mathematics at the Bayes Business School (formerly Cass), graduating with a Distinction. He then worked at one of the largest IB tutoring agencies before tutoring the IB program freelance, specializing in IB Mathematics and IB Economics. About the Author
Usama has been teaching IB Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS), and Biology for over 3 years. He has taught at multiple international schools with impressive results and has been involved in curriculum design and implementation across all programmes of IB. In addition to teaching Usama has been an assistant examiner of ESS for IB for the past 2 years. He holds a Masters in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Cornell University and is currently pursuing a PhD in plant science and evolution with a focus on environmental stress and polyploidy
