Here are some beginners tips for people starting with instagram as a brand or business!

1. Changing your account type. This can help with your presence online and coming across more professional to your future consumers. To do this go to settings > professionals section > creator tools and controls > switch account type.

2. Posting methods. The basic posting method on Instagram are:
•Single post
•Carousel post
•Stories
•Reels
The single post is of one photo. A carousel post can be of all photos or all videos or both photo and video. A reel is a video based post which can be edited in app of multiple videos and photos. And finally stories. Stories are temporary posts that stay up for 24 hours these can be done with text or photo/video.

3. Hashtags on your content! This is a great way to get people engaged in your content as people are searching key terms and are using platforms like instagram as a search engine. The hashtags you use depends on your content. One which is widely used is # _______ofinstagram for example / these along with more specific hashtags are great ones to use.

4. A few ways you can engage with your audience include:
•Analytics - stats of your account
•Comments - where people leave their thoughts
•Dm’s- messages sent from your followers or none followers
•Stories-replies from people including reactions can be responded to!
